The New Powdered Milk Factory of Betânia Will Be Installed in the City of Morada Nova, Ceará. The Expectation Is That the New Industry Will Generate Income and Jobs for the Local Area
A new dairy products factory will be installed in the state of Ceará, which is only possible because Governor Camilo Santana and his Secretary of Economic Development and Labor, Maia Júnior, convinced the partner and CEO of Betânia Lácteos, Bruno Girão, to build in Ceará and not in Bahia, as was planned. The factory – already in testing phase – will have an investment of R$ 50 million, generating income and jobs in the state. See also: New Intelbras Factory to Be Built in the State of Santa Catarina. The Agreement for the New Factory to Install in Ceará
The initial understandings between the Ceará government and Betânia were made by its also partner and Director of Institutional Affairs, Jorge Parente Frota Júnior. Ceará won the competition for the powdered milk factory of Betânia Lácteos, offering a better menu of tax incentives than that presented by the Bahia government.
In a preliminary meeting, Bruno Girão, Maia Júnior, and Jorge Parente agreed on the location of the factory in Morada Nova, where the Betânia Group has a modern industrial plant that produces the entire dairy line. Subsequently, the decisive meeting was with Governor Camilo Santana, who ensured the granting of the incentive menu.

Negotiations for the sale of Troller are already at advanced levels, and the potential buyer is already thinking about bringing operations to Ceará. However, for this to happen, the Troller factory will need to be transferred to Porto do Pecém because of graphene.
The possible receiver of the Troller factory is the Export Processing Zone (ZPE), which is currently in Horizonte. The reason is that the group interested in Troller is linked to the production of wind energy blades. The interest in the ZPE is due to the ease of installing a graphene production line, which is extracted from graphite found in the Baturité Massif, in the Aracoiaba region. The graphene would be produced at the same factory as Troller, in Porto do Pecém, for application in wind turbine towers that support the wind blades.
