The new turbine plant will be developed after a total investment of BRL 150 million 

The Chinese renewable energy giant, Goldwind Energias Renováveis, which holds the title of the world's largest manufacturer of wind turbines, chose Bahia as the location for its new wind turbine production plant. The news was revealed by the company during the inauguration of its administrative headquarters in São Paulo on Tuesday (08). With an initial investment of R$ 150 million, the factory promises to create more than 1.100 direct and indirect jobs in the region, according to the website Alô Alô Bahia.

Goldwind Energias Renováveis ​​had already signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Bahia in March this year, outlining its expansion plans in Brazil. The choice of location for the factory between the states of Bahia and Ceará was eagerly awaited. Although the specific location of the installation has not yet been disclosed, the company's decision to choose Bahia as its strategic destination is a milestone for the renewable energy sector in the country.

Strengthening the sustainable economy with the construction of the new factory

According to information from the government of Bahia, Goldwind Energias Renováveis ​​will not be the only company present in this factory undertaking. The company plans to bring about a true business grouping, bringing together its main suppliers, which should position Bahia as a leader in sustainable neo-industrialization, boosting the production of clean energy. 

The creation of a Factory of wind components composed of at least six companies, including SINOMA, which is already committed to establishing itself in Bahia in the second half of this year, is a central part of this project.
