Wind Energy: New Turbine Operates Together With Solar Panels and Can Be Taken in the Car to Generate Power Even in Remote Locations
KiteX, a Danish startup, created a removable and portable wind turbine capable of generating enough power to run a small refrigerator, some lights, a laptop, or a router. The turbine can operate together with solar panels and can be taken in the car to generate power even in remote locations.

The turbine, manufactured by Kitex has fiberglass blades, weighs only 10 kg, and is easily portable. When needed, just unpack, assemble, anchor to the ground (with a set of high-strength nylon tension straps), and start capturing wind energy. The company estimates that 15 minutes is sufficient for a person to set up all the pieces.
The Wind Turbine Has Been Named Wind Catcher and Can Operate Together With Solar Panels
The wind turbine has been named Wind Catcher and functions day and night – even in locations with low wind – and can operate together with solar panels. The turbine has two versions: one with 200W, ideal for low wind speed conditions, and another with 600W, which provides enough power to charge electric bicycles and general electronic devices.

Another advantage is that the new wind turbine is designed to operate with less noise, although it is not as silent as solar panels. However, for those using the product in nature, the noise may blend with the natural sounds around.
Even though it is intended for adventurous nature lovers, the solution can also be adopted by modern nomads – who live working while traveling. Additionally, the search for energy self-sufficiency is already the desire of many living both in and out of urban areas.
