The governor of Pernambuco, Paulo Câmara, participated in the municipality of Igarassu, in the state of Pernambuco, in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new distribution center of Império Móveis e Eletro. With an investment of R$ 70 million and an area of 58.2 thousand square meters, the project is part of the Plano Retomada, which also aims to attract private investments to the state. In total, 650 jobs will be created.

The New Venture in the State of Pernambuco
The governor stated that the establishment of this new distribution center will help generate jobs not only in Igarassu but throughout the state of Pernambuco. “I admire the professional and dedicated vision of the Império group, always considering the characteristics and opportunities of the region, providing the people of Pernambuco with quality products,” concluded Paulo Câmara.
The brand was founded in 2017, in Paulista, by entrepreneurs with experience in Brazilian retail. Its main activity is specialized commerce in household appliances and audio and video equipment. With robust growth in recent years, the company is one of the references in retail in Brazil, present in the states of Paraíba, Alagoas, and Ceará, in addition to Pernambuco, where its newest distribution center was recently established.

Also present at the launch of the new distribution center were the lieutenant governor Luciana Santos; state secretaries José Neto (Civil House) and Ana Paula Vilaça (Executive of Economic Development); the president of AD Diper, Roberto Abreu e Lima; as well as the president of the Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco, Eriberto Medeiros; the mayor of Igarassu, Elcione Ramos; the council partner of Império, Edward Saunders; and Father Josivan Bezerra, parish priest of the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian.

Infracommerce, the company responsible for the e-commerce operation of giants such as Nike, Ambev, Unilever, Motorola, Ray Ban, and other national and international brands, has just started its activities in Extrema, in South Minas Gerais. The inauguration of the distribution center (CD) will generate about 300 direct jobs, potentially reaching over 500 during the commercial event Black Friday.
Although it does not disclose the amount of investment, this is the company’s second distribution center, which operates similarly in São Paulo state, Brasília (DF), Serra (ES), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Salvador (BA), and Fortaleza (CE). In total, there are 23 thousand square meters of storage and a capacity for almost 5 million items in the warehouse in the state of Minas Gerais.
The Vice President of Operations at Infracommerce, Fábio Gallo, says that “As a white-label digital ecosystem that operates on the concept of Customer Experience as a Service (CXaaS), the intention is to be increasingly close to the consumer, delivering orders faster and at a lower cost. The establishment of a distribution center in Extrema occurs to strengthen this positioning and performance.”
