Now, Customers of Banco do Brasil Will Be Able to Use Their Credit Card Limit to Make Pix, Increasing Payment Options Simply and Quickly.

The BB has just taken another innovative step by allowing its customers to make Pix at Banco do Brasil using their credit card limit. Yes, you read that right! Now, in addition to transferring money instantly, you can use your credit card limit to cover the transaction amount. It’s as if your card is in your pocket, but with expanded power!

The news, confirmed by the InfoMoney portal, called Pix Ourocard, is available for individual customers, account holders of the bank who have any type of Ourocard cards. In other words, those who are already BB customers can take advantage of this convenience. When making a Pix, just choose the “card” option in the app, and the amount will be debited directly from your credit card limit, appearing on your bill like any other purchase.

The interest charged on this option starts at 2.98% per month, which, compared to other lines of credit, can be a viable alternative for those seeking more flexibility when paying. The Pix at Banco do Brasil is not yet available for legal entities, but the bank expects this functionality to be offered to this audience soon.

According to Keka Ferrari, executive manager of Payment Methods at BB, the credit card has always been synonymous with convenience and planning. “With Pix being debit from the card, we combine these advantages with the speed and simplicity of Pix, providing the customer with a new way to use their credit limit with practicality and control,” she emphasized.

Integration with the Credit Card Broadens Options

The integration of Pix with the credit card limit emerges as a natural evolution for those seeking more payment options at Banco do Brasil. The Central Bank allows this form of operation, which aims to bring more flexibility to the customer. Even with the prohibition of charging fees on transfers for individuals, financial institutions can profit from this service by offering the possibility of financing via credit card.

“Pix has already revolutionized the way Brazilians make payments, and now, with this new integration, customers can enjoy the best of both worlds: the speed of Pix and the flexibility of the credit card. It’s practicality for those who need agility without losing financial control,” Ferrari concluded.

This new Pix option at Banco do Brasil is yet another proof that the bank is attentive to the needs of its customers, providing a solution that blends the agility of Pix with the convenience of extended credit card terms.
