The announcement, made on the official PM website this Tuesday, November 19, highlights the commitment to strengthening the officer cadre and promises to attract candidates dedicated to serving and protecting the community.
What Positions Are Available in the Military Police Public Contest?
The vacancies in the contest for high school are aimed at the Military Police of the State of Paraná. The approval was given by the state governor, Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior, and the forecast is that the notice will be published in 2025.
The hiring process for the organizing committee has already begun. However, despite the announcement, no further information has been released regarding the number of vacancies that will be made available.

The last public contest for the Military Police PR took place this year and has already been ratified. At that time, 50 vacancies were offered for the position. Based on this last notice, it is expected that the next one will follow the same requirements and salary range.
Thus, the minimum requirement for the Military Police public contest remains a complete high school education. The initial remuneration is R$ 3,776.22, and after the probationary period, the approved candidate is promoted to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, with a remuneration of R$ 10,327.39.
Another Contest for High School of the Military Police Has Also Been Authorized
The government of Paraná has also authorized the holding of contests for soldiers of the Military Police and Fire Department. The authorization was granted by the state governor, Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior, and published in the State Official Gazette in May 2023.
The IBFC Institute has been designated as the organizing committee for the high school contest. The expectation of the state government is that the public contest for the military police and firefighters will take place in the coming months.
The estimate is that 360 vacancies will be offered in this new high school contest, with 230 allocated for the Military Police and another 130 for the Fire Department, with remunerations of R$ 5,401.58 for both positions. To compete for one of the vacancies, according to the last notice, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be a native Brazilian;
- Be at least 18 years old and a maximum of 30 years old (may vary according to the contest notice);
- Complete higher education;
- Have a minimum height (may also vary, generally around 1.60m for women and 1.65m for men);
- Be in compliance with electoral and military obligations (for men);
- Have physical and mental fitness;
- Possess a driver’s license, at least in category B;
- Not have a criminal record.

It has not been long since the PM and Fire Department of Paraná held a public contest. The last notice was published in 2021 and the convocations took place in 2022.
