Focusing on Space, Efficiency and Technology, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 Combines 326 Hp, 19 kWh Battery, 560 Liter Trunk and Recalibrated Suspension to Compete with Tiggo 7, BYD Song Plus and Other Rival Plug-in Hybrids, as the Most Complete Option in the Category in Brazil Today.

In the planned line update for 2026, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 arrives in Brazil as the entry plug-in hybrid from the Chinese brand, maintaining the 1.5 turbo gasoline engine and adding a plug-in rechargeable electric system, with a 19 kWh battery and combined power of 326 hp.

Positioned as one of the most important bets among electrified SUVs, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 brings together aggressive front design, recalibrated suspension to reduce harsh impacts, 560-liter trunk, and a complete package of advanced driver assistance, seeking to win over those migrating from traditional combustion models to the world of plug-in hybrids.

Aggressive Design and Body Length of 4.70 Meters

GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 plug-in hybrid comes with 560-liter trunk, 1.5 turbo engine, and 326 hp to compete among electrified medium SUVs.

On the outside, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 adopts a bolder design language.

The front features a grille with trapezoidal elements and dozens of geometric modules, along with a prominent Haval logo in the front area.

The main headlights maintain the projector type, but the DRL now appears in a vertical bar, reinforcing the characteristic lighting signature of the SUV.

At the base of the bumper, the model features plastic deflectors that help with protection in urban use and on roads with uneven surfaces.

Measuring 4.70 meters in length, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 clearly positions itself among medium SUVs, offering a size compatible with well-established rivals in the segment.

The 19-inch alloy wheels, fitted with tires suited for mixed use, complete the robust visual, alongside the matte black appliqués at the bottom of the body.

At the rear, the highlight is the LED taillights with a signature that runs across the entire trunk, forming a continuous light bar.

Extended brake light, LED illumination for the license plate and auxiliary lights, and the design of the lower extractors reinforce the modern aspect of the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026.

Recalibrated Suspension and Disc Brakes on All Four Wheels

One of the points specifically worked for the Brazilian market was the suspension.

At the front axle, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 utilizes a McPherson setup, with a new mechanical stop and additional rubber elements to reduce the harsh impacts reported by users in previous versions.

The aim is to make the absorption of impacts more progressive over bumps, potholes, and ditches.

At the rear, the SUV maintains independent suspension, favoring comfort on long trips and stability in turns, even with the added weight of the plug-in hybrid system’s battery.

All four brakes are discs, with ventilation in the front, aligned with the performance of 326 hp from the hybrid setup.

The traction is front-wheel drive, with half-shafts connected to the DHT gearbox dedicated to hybrid vehicles.

ABS sensors, electronic control, and specific calibrations were designed for real use on Brazilian highways and cities, where the pavement does not always offer ideal conditions.

Giant Trunk and Family SUV Interior Space

The trunk is one of the strong selling points of the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026.

The usable space is around 560 liters, with a fully paneled finish and articulated hard cover, a solution similar to that of reference medium SUVs in the segment.

The internal compartment area is fully lined, with rubberized protection and a good sense of robustness for everyday use.

The 12-volt battery is positioned there, organized in its own niche.

Instead of a traditional spare tire, the model comes with a tire repair kit, a common choice in electrified vehicles to optimize space and weight.

In the cabin, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 features rubberized finish on the dashboard, leather in contact areas, and seats with good side bolsters, offering comfort and adequate support for longer trips.

There are six airbags, air vents for the second row, USB type A and type C ports, and a nearly flat central tunnel, favoring the rear central passenger.

Legroom and headroom are among the praised aspects, with generous distance between seats and a panoramic sunroof contributing to the feeling of spaciousness.

Overall, the interior of the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 positions itself as one of the most careful among medium plug-in hybrids sold in the country.

Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain with 326 Hp and DHT Gearbox

Under the hood, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 retains the 1.5 turbo gasoline engine, four cylinders, 16 valves, with direct injection, phase variator for intake and exhaust, and chain drive, eliminating the need for a timing belt.

The setup works in conjunction with the plug-in electric system, powered by a 19 kWh battery that can be recharged from a socket or by the combustion engine itself, which also acts as a generator under certain usage conditions.

The combined power reaches 326 hp, with torque around 54 kgfm, numbers compatible with the proposal for vigorous performance for a medium family SUV.

The transmission is a DHT two-speed gearbox, developed specifically for hybrid vehicles.

The gearbox fluid needs to be an electrical insulator, which highlights the deep integration between the mechanical component and the high-voltage system.

The result is a functioning designed to switch smoothly between electric traction, hybrid traction, and support from the combustion engine during recharge mode.

The GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 also offers an all-electric driving mode for short trips, prioritizing the battery’s energy use or optimized combination between the thermal and electric motors, according to the selection made by the driver in the multimedia center.

Technological Interior with 14.6-Inch Multimedia and Level 2 ADAS

Inside, the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 strongly invests in technology.

The digital instrument panel is about 10 inches, with clear cluster, modern graphics, and specific information from the hybrid system, such as energy flow and operating mode.

At the center, the 14.6-inch multimedia system received new software, described as faster and more responsive, allowing for organizing apps, integrated navigation, and climate control in a single interface.

The screen concentrates almost all vehicle functions, with near-instant response to commands.

The air conditioning is digital with dual zones, featuring front and rear defrosters, as well as auxiliary physical controls for quick adjustments.

The wireless phone charger has been upgraded from 15 W to 50 W, bringing the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 closer to solutions used in premium models, with faster and steadier smartphone charging.

In the assistance package, the SUV features Level 2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, emergency automatic braking, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, and automatic high beam switching.

The 360-degree view is provided by high-definition cameras, assisted by front, side, and rear sensors.

Positioning, Versions, and Competition with Other Plug-in Hybrids

The GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 is the entry plug-in hybrid of the Haval family in Brazil, occupying the initial tier below more powerful versions like the PHEV 35 and the GT.

The launch price was kept around 248 thousand reais, indicating the intention to compete directly with other medium electrified SUVs.

In the same operational range, rivals like the Tiggo 7 plug-in hybrid and BYD Song Plus appear, cited in the model’s presentation as direct competitors in proposal and technology.

The Chinese brand’s bet is that the combination of plug-in battery, updated design, large trunk, recalibrated suspension, and complete ADAS package will make the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 one of the most desired plug-in hybrids in the category.

The array of attributes suggests that GWM aims to use the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 to consolidate its image among consumers seeking electrification, while still preferring the safety of a gasoline engine working in tandem with the electric system, without relying solely on public charging infrastructure.

In light of this scenario, do you think that the combination of design, technology, and powertrain of the GWM Haval H6 PHEV19 2026 is sufficient to make you choose a plug-in hybrid over a traditional combustion SUV today?
