For R$ 204,900, the HR-V Touring 1.5 Turbo Brings A Robust Package And Is Up To 5% More Economical — But Keeps The Non-Independent Rear Axle And Loses The Sunroof Compared To Older Generations, Something Rare In This Range.

The Honda HR-V Touring 2025 hits the market for R$ 204,900, maintaining the brand’s compact premium SUV proposal, now with electronic reprogramming that improves fuel consumption by up to 5%. Despite the robust package of safety and technology equipment, the model still faces criticism for keeping the torsion beam rear axle and losing the sunroof present in previous generations.

According to an assessment by Stanley Ravagnani, recorded at Honda Botucatu, the HR-V Touring seeks to balance mechanical reliability and embedded electronics, but charges a high price given the technical details that may make a difference when compared to rivals.

1.5 Turbo Engine Remains A Highlight

New Honda HR-V Touring Costs R$ 204.9 Thousand, Gains 5% In Consumption and Long List Of Safety But Keeps Torsion Beam And Lacks Sunroof

The HR-V Touring retains the 1.5 Turbo Direct Injection Engine, with 177 hp and 24.5 kgfm of torque, always coupled to a CVT transmission. The electronic recalibration has brought efficiency gains: the numbers cited in the test were 11.4 km/l in the city and 13.1 km/l on the highway with gasoline. The performance is praised for its smoothness and quick response in acceleration, reinforcing the proposal of an urban SUV with a vocation for long trips.

Even without deep mechanical innovations, the improvement in consumption places the HR-V in a competitive position within the category, especially in times of expensive fuel.

Equipment List Grows In Technology

The equipment package is one of the strengths of the Touring version. The model offers Honda Sensing (lane keeping, autonomous braking, and ACC), a camera in the right mirror (LaneWatch), front and rear sensors, an electric trunk opening via key, and full-LED headlights.

Inside, the SUV delivers dual-zone digital climate control, power seats for the driver, wireless charging, and rear air vents and USB ports, as well as leather upholstery and soft-touch surfaces. The internal space has also been highlighted, particularly the spacious rear seat, considered “sedan-like” by the reviewer.

Criticism: Suspension And Lack Of Sunroof

Despite the advances, two points draw attention. The HR-V Touring retains a torsion beam rear axle, instead of the independent suspension used in competitors like the Jeep Renegade and Caoa Chery Tiggo 7. For more discerning consumers, this could weigh negatively in terms of dynamic comfort and perceived value.

Additionally, the model does not offer a sunroof, a feature that was present in past generations and still appears in rivals within the same price range. This absence reinforces the perception that the HR-V Touring could deliver more for costing above R$ 200 thousand.

Is It Worth The Investment For What It Delivers?

YouTube Video

The Honda HR-V Touring 2025 combines a reliable engine, advanced safety package, and good fuel efficiency. These factors, combined with the brand reputation and high resale value, sustain the asking price. However, the absence of a sunroof and the rear torsion beam suspension diminish the “top-of-the-line weight” compared to rivals that offer more content for less.

In your opinion, does the Honda HR-V Touring 2025 justify the price even without a sunroof and independent suspension? Or would you opt for a competitor with a more complete package in this range? Leave your opinion in the comments.
