Hyundai Bets High With The New SUV That Promises To Surpass Jeep And Toyota In Brazil
Hyundai has launched its new SUV in Brazil, the Palisade, which promises to redefine the experience for Brazilian consumers. With a sophisticated design and an extensive list of technologies and comforts, the South Korean automaker aims to compete with models like Jeep and Toyota.
The Palisade is the new darling of Hyundai, a luxury SUV that replaces the old Veracruz. The car is a true monster in terms of size and equipment: it measures 4.98 m in length, 2.90 m in wheelbase, 1.98 m in width, and 1.75 m in height. With a weight of up to 2,075 kg, it also accommodates 725 liters of luggage with the third row of seats folded down.
Engine of The Hyundai Palisade
Speaking of engines, the Palisade offers three options, including the robust 3.8 V6 gasoline engine, which generates 291 horsepower and 37 kgfm of torque, always paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Another possible option is the 2.5 Turbo gasoline engine, with 275 horsepower and 42.5 kgfm of torque.

Design
In terms of appearance, the Hyundai Palisade does not disappoint. It features an imposing chrome grille, gray accents on the bumper, and a full LED lighting system. From the side, it stands out with chrome window trim, an aluminum roof rack, and wheels of up to 20 inches. At the rear, more gray accents, dual exhaust outlets, and full LED taillights complement the design.
Interior of The New Launch in Brazil
Inside, the Palisade is simply breathtaking. The premium finish includes soft-touch materials and aluminum. With space for seven or eight people, depending on the configuration, it offers up to two isolated seats in the middle row in some versions. Among the features, highlights include keyless entry, a power liftgate, electric parking brake, button-based gear selector, seats with electric adjustments (including heating and ventilation), dual panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, and a sound system of up to 900W.
Safety is also a strong point for the Palisade. Equipped with ventilated disc brakes with ABS, traction controls, 10 airbags, a structure comparable to the Volvo XC90, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist, it promises to be one of the safest SUVs on the market.
Hyundai Aims To Make Up For Lost Time In Brazil
With this launch, Hyundai aims to make up for lost time in Brazil and compete directly with models like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota SW4, but at a more accessible price. The best-selling version in the USA, the Limited AWD, costs approximately R$ 200 thousand, but in Brazil, the price is expected to range between R$ 300 thousand and R$ 350 thousand.
The new Hyundai Palisade is better than the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota SW4 for offering more advanced technology, such as 12-inch multimedia center and 360-degree cameras, as well as premium design and finish with soft-touch materials and aluminum details. It also outperforms competitors in interior space, accommodating up to eight passengers and 725 liters of luggage, and offers powerful motorizations with the 3.8 V6 engine. In terms of safety, the Palisade is unbeatable, with 10 airbags, traction control, and autonomous emergency braking, all at a more attractive cost-benefit ratio, ranging between R$ 300 thousand and R$ 350 thousand in Brazil.

350 mil meio caro. Se viesse com hibrido até justificaria.
