Workers Can Check If They Are Entitled to the Benefit; New Batch of PIS/Pasep Covers 1.6 Million Brazilians with Amounts Up to R$ 1,518 Released Starting October 15.
The new batch of PIS/Pasep will release R$ 1.5 billion in salary bonuses for 1.6 million workers starting October 15, according to the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The measure covers workers from private companies and public servants, who can check if they are included via the Digital Work Card app or the gov.br portal.
According to the government, the benefit amount may vary between R$ 127 and R$ 1,518, depending on the number of months worked in the base year 2023. The program, which has R$ 30 billion projected for 2025, aims to recognize and supplement the income of professionals earning up to two minimum wages.
Who Receives and How the Payment Will Be Made
Among the beneficiaries of the new batch of PIS/Pasep, 697,814 workers are linked to the PIS (employees of private companies) and will receive the amount through Caixa Econômica Federal.

Another 942,387 public servants, linked to Pasep, will have their deposits made by Banco do Brasil, as reported by the newspaper O Globo.
Caixa will credit directly into checking accounts, savings accounts, or Digital Accounts of account holders. Those without an account at the bank can receive via the CAIXA Tem app or in person at branches, lottery outlets, and ATMs.
At Banco do Brasil, payment will be made by credit to account, TED, PIX, or in person for those without banking relationships.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Is Entitled to the Bonus
To receive the salary bonus from PIS/Pasep, it is necessary to meet four main requirements defined by the Ministry of Labor:
- Be registered in PIS/Pasep for at least five years;
- Have earned up to two minimum wages in average monthly remuneration during the worked period;
- Have performed remunerated activity for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year 2023;
- Have the data correctly reported in e-Social by the employer by June 20, 2025.
The extra batch was created to accommodate workers with information submitted within the exceptional deadline of Codefat/MTE Resolution No. 1,013 of 2025.
This additional data allowed for the inclusion of more than 1.6 million people who had initially been left out of the regular schedule.
Amounts and Calendar of the New Batch of PIS/Pasep
The amount of the bonus is proportional to the time worked under formal contracts in 2023.
Each month corresponds to 1/12 of the current minimum wage (R$ 1,518), resulting in payments ranging from R$ 127 to R$ 1,518.
The benefit will be available until December 29, 2025, the final deadline of the national calendar.
Payment Calendar:
- January – starting February 17, 2025
- February – starting March 17, 2025
- March – starting April 15, 2025
- May and June – starting May 15, 2025
- July and August – starting June 16, 2025
- September and October – starting July 15, 2025
- November and December – starting August 15, 2025
The bonus can be withdrawn until December 29, and amounts not withdrawn by this date will return to the Worker Support Fund (FAT).
How to Check the New Batch of PIS/Pasep
Workers can quickly check if they are entitled to the new batch of PIS/Pasep via the Digital Work Card, available for Android and iOS.
Simply access the app, log in with your gov.br account, and check in the “Benefits” → “Salary Bonus” tab.
It is also possible to confirm the right to the benefit through the Ministry of Labor’s portal (mte.gov.br) or by calling 158.
Additionally, both Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil offer consultations through the app, website, and customer service channels.
In the case of PIS, it is possible to consult via the Caixa Tem app or the App Caixa Trabalhador. For Pasep, public servants can access the BB App or the bank’s official website.
Economic Impact and Inclusion in the New Batch
The additional batch of R$ 1.5 billion injects direct resources into the economy and reinforces the role of the bonus as a tool for income redistribution, especially among low-income workers.
According to technicians from the Ministry of Labor, the measure corrects registration delays and expands coverage for those who had formal ties in 2023.
The expectation is that the salary bonus will boost local commerce and help settle debts, as the release occurs in the last quarter of the year, when family consumption tends to increase.
