Considered one of the most modern and luxurious vehicles in its segment, the Nio EC7 SUV Coupe is a true revelation in the automotive world. After focusing on electrification, the Chinese startup Nio has challenged big names in the industry, such as BYD, especially with its expansion into the European market.
The EC7, built on a new modular platform for electric vehicles, boasts the title of one of the most aerodynamically efficient cars in the world. With generous dimensions – 4.96 meters in length, 2.96 meters in wheelbase, 1.97 meters in width, and 1.71 meters in height – and a trunk of 560 liters, the EC7 combines space and style. Its design is marked by lines reminiscent of Porsche, four front cameras, full LED lighting, and 22-inch wheels.
Performance Is Another Highlight of the EC7
Equipped with a dual motor (one in the front and another in the rear), it delivers 652 horsepower and 86.6 kgf.m of torque, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 220 km/h.

The range is, without a doubt, the strong point of the EC7 SUV. It offers three battery options: with 75 kWh, it reaches up to 490 km; with 100 kWh, up to 560 km; and with the impressive 150 kWh battery, the EC7 can drive up to 950 km on a single charge. Fast charging allows the vehicle to reach 10 to 80% of the battery in just 40 minutes at appropriate stations.
Interior and Safety
Internally, the EC7 impresses with high-quality finishes and a range of advanced features. Its spacious interior is one of the benefits of its long wheelbase, allowing it to comfortably accommodate five adults. Among the equipment, the highlights include a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, selectable driving modes, front seats with power adjustments, heating, ventilation, and a massage function.
Safety is a priority in the EC7, equipped with collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, sign reader, blind spot warning, and other advanced assistive technologies.
Price and Availability of the New SUV from China
Regarding price, in China, the EC7 costs the equivalent of R$ 350,000 for the base version, reaching approximately R$ 400,000 for the fully equipped versions. There is no confirmation of its official sale in Brazil yet, but the growing presence of Chinese brands in the Brazilian automotive market suggests a possible future introduction.
The EC7 positions itself as a strong competitor to models from renowned brands like Tesla and BYD, offering technology, safety, and high-level performance. With this launch, Nio reinforces its potential to become a prominent brand in the global electric vehicle scene.
Although its arrival in Brazil has not been confirmed, the growing interest in electric SUVs and the expansion of Chinese automakers in the country, including initiatives for domestic production by brands like Chery and BYD, increase expectations for the introduction of models like the EC7 in the Brazilian market. In light of this scenario, Brazilian consumers may soon have another innovative option for an electric SUV, combining luxury, performance, and sustainability.
