Jaecoo 7 with super hybrid SHS system exceeds 1,200 km of combined range with a 1.5 turbo engine, high-density battery, and intelligent energy management.
As such, it has kept its dimensions practically identical to the current model. It measures 4.47 m in length, 2.64 m in wheelbase, 1.82 m in width, 1.62 m in height, weighing up to 1,450 Kg and accommodating a good 440 L of luggage in the trunk. The visual of the new Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 has become a bit more sophisticated.
At the front, the grille is new with the style of the H6 from GWM and the 3008 from Peugeot, the full LED headlights have remodeled internal components and are now interconnected by a strip that is still unknown if it is just backlit or if it actually has an LED strip.
The bumper has been slightly retouched with a fake air intake in Black Piano and a gray insert at the base. On the sides, the only updates for the new Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 are the redesigned wheels that maintain the 18 inches. Moving to the rear, the changes were minimal, only gaining a new internal design of the taillights, which have LED lighting and the bumper has also been remodeled.
Know What Technologies Are Embedded In The New Model
Moving to the interior, the model, at least abroad, has always had a good finish at the same level as the Corolla Sedan, with all surfaces of the dashboard and doors smooth to the touch. The interior space remains the same, accommodating four adults and one child very comfortably.
The equipment list brings some items that we do not have in the Brazilian model such as electronic parking brake, digital dashboard, and even a panoramic sunroof, but all these items were already available in the European model before the reuse.
Moreover, the new Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 continues to offer wireless phone charging, keyless entry, electric seat adjustments for the driver, multifunctional steering wheel, two-zone digital climate control, Auto Hold, and much more. The multimedia center comes with a 9-inch screen and has wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay, Android Auto, native GPS, and also brings an integrated rearview camera.
Will The New Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 Change Its Engine?
Now talking about the engine, the new Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 here in Brazil will remain unchanged. The model is expected to retain, for the simpler versions, the 2.0 four-cylinder naturally aspirated Flex, which features direct fuel injection. It delivers up to 177 horsepower and 21.4 kgfm of torque associated with a CVT automatic transmission with 10 simulated gears, with the first having a torque converter.
The performance is very good for a naturally aspirated engine, and the consumption averages are pleasing. As a second option, it brings the conventional hybrid composed of the 1.8 four-cylinder Flex, plus an electric motor. It offers a combined 122 horsepower and 16.6 kgfm of torque with a CVT automatic transmission. The performance is quite weak, but the consumption averages are a standout.
