Companies Operating at the Comperj Construction Site Discovered in Price-Fixing Scheme for Overpriced Products and Services.
The TCU just discovered misconduct this Wednesday (5) involving companies directly linked to Comperj, which belongs to Petrobras and inflated the costs of the works by R$ 544 million. The Court of Accounts determined the explicit blocking of assets of the corporations involved in the money diversion scheme. Do you want to know which companies are involved? Take note of the list below; the worst part is that there are no surprises, as almost all of them are the same companies mentioned almost all the time in the media:
The List includes Queiroz Galvão Engenharia/SA, Technit Engenharia, Construção S.A, Alusa, Engenharia, Skanska Brasil LTDA., Promon Engenharia LTDA., Engevix Engenharia S.A, and Promon. The only one mentioned by the TCU that did not have its assets blocked was Andrade Gutierrez. As it had previously made a plea bargain agreement due to the operations of Lava Jato and has been cooperating with the Federal Police, there was no need for blocks at this time.
When questioned by the media, QG declined to comment as the investigations are still ongoing. Promon and Alusa also did not respond to the contacts made by G1 up to the date this text was written.

The goal of blocking the assets of the companies mentioned above is to return all losses to Petrobras if the corruption investigations prove to be true. Nevertheless, the TCU gave the companies 15 days to present their defenses, under the penalty of having their assets remain inactive if this does not occur.
The inspection bodies that analyzed the contracts of the atmospheric distillation, vacuum distillation, hydrocracking, and coking units at Comperj concluded that the diversion scheme was within these plants at the construction site.
It is worth noting that the amount of R$544 million was from the year 2010; potentially, this value could be much higher, as another audit was conducted in 2015.
Good day, my dear readers and followers of Click Petróleo e Gás, the works at Comperj, seen as a beacon of hope, are highly anticipated by the citizens of Rio de Janeiro. We hope these blocks do not directly affect the professionals in the sector who have been eagerly awaiting the start of the project for a long time.
