“The approval was long awaited as a result of initiatives that began during Michel Temer’s government and were rightly embraced by the current government. We can say that, immediately, the act provides more peace of mind so that investments that were on standby can now be accelerated vigorously. This sector is known for initiatives in advanced study phases, but it depended greatly on this new legal framework for the launch of new projects,” says Luciano de Carvalho, executive director of Ecman.
According to the executive, not only large companies but also small and medium-sized industries will benefit, providing greater accessibility to gas, both through logistics and distribution networks, as well as through lower prices.

Ecman Projects Increase in Investments and Opening of New Jobs Starting from the New Regulatory Framework of the Gas Sector
The Ecman serves various companies, including multinationals, that have been eagerly awaiting this change to begin their operations in Brazil. According to Luciano de Carvalho, the construction company is prepared to bid for projects exceeding 8 billion reais. Among the plans is the implementation of new receiving lines, expansion and construction of new maritime terminals, land storage bases, and compression bases, as well as distribution networks throughout the national territory.
“With a good margin of accuracy, Ecman will be leading projects in this sector very soon. Certainly, throughout this production chain, there will be a strong generation of new job openings, from the lowest to the median and highest professional qualifications,” concludes Luciano de Carvalho.
