Offshore chain growth in Macaé boosts suppliers, industrial services, and energy solutions with strong advancement until 2026

Accelerated growth of offshore industrial demand in Macaé

Firstly, the resumption of investments in oil and gas is already starting to directly impact the economy of Macaé (RJ), the main offshore base in the country.

Moreover, according to data released by Tecnogera, by 2026, the demand for industrial equipment and solutions could advance up to 396% between 2024 and 2026, following the reactivation of projects in the Campos Basin.

In this sense, this advancement occurs especially with the increase of operations in mature fields, which have been progressively reactivated since 2024.

Operational expansion and impact on the supplier chain

At the same time, this movement reinforces the gradual resumption of the offshore production chain, which begins to directly impact service and infrastructure suppliers.

On the other hand, according to Tecnogera itself, the operational volume of the unit in Macaé is expected to jump from 30,346 in 2024 to around 150,587 in 2026.

Additionally, between 2024 and 2025, an approximate growth of 163% has already been recorded, indicating a consistent acceleration of industrial demand.

Consequently, this evolution has been noticed by companies operating in logistics, energy, and offshore operational support.

Recent investments and job creation in the region

In parallel, the company began its operations in Macaé in late 2024, with an estimated investment of R$ 100 million.

As a result, the unit started to serve industrial and logistical operations related to the offshore sector, consolidating a strategic presence in the region.

Currently, about 200 direct and indirect jobs have already been created, strengthening the local economy.

Segments with the highest growth until 2026

Furthermore, some segments show faster growth within the local operation:

  • Temporary energy: expected to grow about 235% by 2026, representing approximately 63% of the operation
  • Industrial access: estimated expansion of 289%, following the demand for support in complex operations
  • Industrial compressors: a new business front, aligned with the need for reliable equipment

Thus, these areas reflect the growing demand for operational continuity and efficiency in offshore activities.

Discussions at Macaé Energy 2026 reinforce recovery scenario

In this context, the topic gained prominence during the Macaé Energy 2026, held from March 17 to 19, 2026.

During the event, companies and experts discussed the sector’s prospects in Brazil, focusing on the expansion of offshore operations.

Thus, the meeting consolidated the perception that the oil and gas chain is experiencing a new growth cycle.

Expectation of advancement across the entire offshore chain

Finally, according to Jorge Moreno, director of New Business at Tecnogera, the resumption of investments has broad effects.

According to him, “the demand for solutions that ensure efficiency and operational continuity is being expanded”.

Moreover, this scenario requires greater infrastructure support for increasingly complex operations.

Therefore, as investments progress, the entire offshore chain tends to expand consistently — raising an important question: will this growth be sustainable in the long term?
