The year 2024 is coming to an end; however, the automotive market for 2025 is approaching and promises the launch of 05 SUVs in Brazil. The segment has been gaining prominence in sales, surpassing sedans, and thus, brands are looking to capture a share of this market with new SUVs that offer great comfort, design, and technology. Check out the new SUVs in the Brazilian market in 2025:
Omoda EV 2025
Just like in Brazil, the Omoda 5 EV complements the SUV-coupe offering in Europe, where a combustion version will also be available. The Omoda 5 is one of the new mid-size SUVs, measuring 4,400 meters in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,590 mm in height, and 2,630 mm in wheelbase.
The SUV’s cabin features a new double curved C-shaped 24.6-inch high-definition screen, combined with an advanced ambient lighting system with 256 colors.

The SUV launch in Brazil is equipped with an engine that the company describes as “highly advanced” and delivers 204 horsepower and 34.7 kgfm of torque, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.
Toyota SW4 2025
Another SUV launch in Brazil that promises to impact the market is the new SW4 2025 in Brazil. The large SUV with a ladder chassis architecture will be available in three versions with an updated engine in accordance with new emission regulations.
To reduce emissions, the model has updated the diesel particulate filter and added a urea tank. The model, which is one of the new SUVs, delivers 204 horsepower and 50.9 kgfm of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction.
Just like the Hilux, Toyota offers new connectivity features in the app. Now, the owner can monitor the vehicle’s status in real-time, gaining access to information such as history, consumption, maintenance, and other services.
Peugeot E-5008
Peugeot is bringing SUV launches to Brazil. It is the E-5008, which not only adds a third row to the model but also comes with electric and hybrid drivetrains.
Among the new SUVs, it debuts built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, the same as its smaller brother E-3008. Furthermore, it shares several components with the SUV.
The similarities go beyond the visual, as the basic Peugeot E-5008 is equipped with a single electric motor producing 211 hp and 35.1 kgfm of torque with front-wheel drive.
BYD Song Plus
The new BYD Song Plus DM-I, the top model in the SUV launch list in Brazil, is equipped with a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor and a Blade battery of 18.3 kWh, a set that generates 342 hp and 53 kgfm of torque.
It is worth noting that the model sold here already comes equipped with this higher capacity battery. Currently, the 1.5-liter engine is naturally aspirated and has 110 horsepower for a total of 235 hp and 40.8 kgfm combined.
The model comes equipped with six airbags and a 360º view camera. In addition, it features the DiPilot driving assistance system, which includes functions such as active lane keeping, emergency automatic braking, blind-spot detection, and speed alert.
New Mini Cabrio
This is one of the new SUVs arriving in the Brazilian automotive market still in 2024. The new Mini Cabrio, with 204 horsepower and 30.6 kgfm of torque, will hit the market in 2025 and, in its best combustion technology phase, will be launched in the country after the Aceman, with a presentation scheduled for March.
Inside, the circular OLED center entertains the driver with high resolution. The voice assistant is activated by the code “Hey, Mini.” The electric adjustment bench has high-quality finishing with Vescin artificial leather. The surface fabrics, terry lining, and door panels are made from recycled materials.
