Petrobras Also Put Up For Sale in RN, in Shallow Waters of Offshore Potiguar, the Oil Fields Ubarana, Cioba, Oeste de Ubarana, Agulha
Petrobras completed the sale of two onshore fields (Ponta do Mel and Redonda) to Central Resources do Brasil Produção de Petróleo, located in the Potiguar Basin, in the state of RN. If Petrobras granted access to its infrastructure, Rio Grande do Norte could double its natural gas supply.

About the Fields Ponta do Mel and Redonda
The oil fields Ponta do Mel and Redonda are located in the municipality of Areia Branca, in the state of RN. The average oil production from the fields in the first half of 2020 was about 493 bbl/day.
The company Central Resources already held rights arising from service contracts for oil exploration with a risk clause, linked to the fields of Ponta do Mel and Redonda, signed with Petrobras in 1982.
Ouro Preto Oil and Gas Also Acquires Petrobras Oil Fields from the Potiguar Basin in RN
The sale price of 65% related to the three oil fields in RN is US$ 1.5 million, to be paid in two installments, the first of US$ 300 thousand and the second in the amount of US$ 1.2 million upon closing of the transaction.
Ouro Preto Oil and Gas already held a 35% stake in the oil fields Pescada, Arabaiana, and Dentão located in shallow waters of the Potiguar Basin (Polo Pescada), in the state of RN.
The average production of the Polo Pescada from January to June 2020 was approximately 260 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 190 thousand m3/day of gas.

The Pescada Polo comprises three shallow water fields: Pescada, Arabaiana, and Dentão, located in the state of RN.
According to Petrobras, the operations are aligned with the strategy of portfolio optimization and improvement of the company’s capital allocation, increasingly concentrating its resources in deep and ultra-deep waters, where Petrobras has demonstrated a significant competitive differential over the years.
