The Auction Opened by Petrobras Aims to Expand the Production Capacity of S-10 Diesel at the Henrique Lage Refinery (REVAP), Located in São José dos Campos (SP)
Petrobras has initiated a bidding process to contract Revamp services at the Henrique Lage Refinery (REVAP), located in São José dos Campos (SP), with the aim of increasing the production capacity of S-10 diesel at the refinery. With a total of 31 companies pre-qualified for the bidding, including some traditional engineering firms, the competition for Petrobras’ bids promises to stimulate the market in the coming months, according to the website Petronotícias.
The list of activities for Petrobras’ refinery includes everything from the development of the executive project to commissioning and assisted operation for the project. Among the 31 pre-qualified companies are names like Saipem, Hyundai Engineering, Andrade Gutierrez, UTC Engenharia, and others. The opening of the envelopes with the bidders’ proposals by Petrobras is scheduled for October 23.
Expansion of S-10 Diesel Production
The goal of the work at U-272D is to adapt the unit to produce diesel fuel with 10 ppm sulfur, known as S-10 diesel, maintaining the design capacity and increasing the supply of the fuel. The forecast is that the supply capacity will increase from the current 44 thousand barrels per day to 85 thousand barrels per day after the completion of the works. The S-10 diesel produced at REVAP primarily supplies the Vale do Paraíba region, in addition to being sent to other hubs across the country from Replan, in Campinas.
