Flexible Riser Launching Vessel (PLSV) From The Company Will Continue Operating For Petrobras For Another 420 Days, Which Has Four More Still Under Contract
Gradually, the vessels that support Petrobras’ operations in the Brazilian offshore are gaining new contracts. This only confirms that activities are being resumed. At the end of June this year Wartsila Signed A Contract And Will Perform Maintenance On Six PLSVs From Sapura.
Petrobras and Sapura Navegação have just informed the market about the signing of a contract to extend the charter period for the PLSV Sapura Topázio by 420 days. The new contract is already in effect and started last Monday (28/10).
The vessel has been supporting Petrobras since 2014 and has the capacity to withstand tension of up to 550 tons in the launching of flexible risers.

Petrobras will spend R$ 424 million on the charter and R$ 323 million for the service provided to Sapura Navegação.
In addition to Topázio, Sapura operates the PLSVs Sapura Onix, Esmeralda, Jade, and Rubi for the Brazilian oil company, which works with other companies and has ten other vessels operating under its contracts: the Seven Cruzeiro, Seven Rio, Seven Sun, and Seven Waves from Subsea 7; the Skandi Olinda, Skandi Recife, Skandi Açu, and Skandi Búzios from the TechnipFMC-DOF consortium; and the Top Coral do Atlântico and Top Estrela do Mar (TechnipFMC-Ocyan).
The PLSVs from TechnipFMC-Ocyan will have their contracts expire on the 30th of October and on December 1st of this year, respectively.
