Petrobras has opened registrations for free professional qualification courses in Pernambuco, offering monthly scholarships of up to R$ 858, as well as food assistance, through the Autonomy and Income Program in partnership with the Federal Institute of Pernambuco.
In total, 92 vacancies are available, distributed between the IFPE campuses in Caruaru and Recife, with classes expected to begin in April and May 2026, according to the schedule established in the notices published by the Support Foundation for IFSul.
At the Caruaru Campus, there are 60 vacancies, equally divided between the courses of Electrical Helper and Instrumentation Helper, while the Recife Campus offers 32 vacancies for training as an Industrial Electrician, all in-person.

Monthly Scholarships and Assistance for Course Retention
The selected students will receive a monthly financial aid of R$ 660 throughout the course period, provided they meet the attendance criteria defined in the notices and maintain regularity in their academic activities.
For women with children under 12 years old, the scholarship amount is increased to R$ 858 per month, a measure planned as an additional incentive for retention and reducing school dropout among mothers responsible for children.
In addition to the monthly amount, the program provides food assistance of up to R$ 300, paid according to the rules established in the partnership with the Federal Institutes, which raises the total financial support received by students during qualification.
The full payment of benefits is conditioned on a minimum attendance of 75%, a criterion that serves as a monitoring parameter for maintaining scholarships throughout the course.
Requirements and Criteria to Participate in Vacancies
To compete, the candidate must be at least 18 years old, reside in an area within the operational scope of Petrobras, and fit a profile of social vulnerability, especially individuals without formal employment or low income.
In Caruaru, a minimum education level corresponding to the completion of Elementary School I, from 1st to 5th grade is required, while for the Industrial Electrician course in Recife, the notice establishes the need for complete High School.
The selection process adopts an affirmative action policy with reserved vacancies for women, Black and Brown individuals, people with disabilities, Indigenous individuals, quilombolas, trans individuals, refugees or immigrants with residence permits, in addition to candidates in unemployment situations.
The verification of the declared information occurs at the enrollment stage, through the presentation of documents required in the notices, including those proving family income and social condition.
Free Technical Courses in Caruaru
The Electrical Helper course, with a curricular workload of 235 hours and an approximate duration of four months, covers fundamentals of electricity, reading measurement instruments, and basic concepts of assembly of structures such as conduits, cable trays, and panels.
Upon completing the training, the participant will be able to assist in the construction and operation of electrical installations, as well as handle components and tools under technical supervision in industrial or building environments.
The training course for Instrumentation Helper has a curricular workload of 220 hours and an estimated duration of four months, with content related to basic electricity, electrical commands, and industrial equipment such as motors, generators, and transformers.
Among the developed competencies are support for the installation, maintenance, and calibration of instruments used in industrial processes, as well as reading technical manuals and specifications.
Classes in Caruaru are scheduled to start on April 27, 2026, occurring from Monday to Friday in the evening and on Saturday mornings, according to the published calendar.
Industrial Electrician Course at IFPE Recife
At the Recife Campus, the Industrial Electrician course has a total of 360 hours of curricular workload, with an expected duration of six months, with in-person classes held in the evening during the week.
The program content includes safety in electrical installations and services, fundamentals of electrical machines, and practices aimed at preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in industrial systems.
Students will also learn to assemble and disassemble industrial electrical panels and machines, expanding their possibilities of action in productive environments that require skilled labor.
The start of classes is scheduled for May 4, 2026, with activities from Monday to Friday in the evening and meetings on Saturdays in the morning and afternoon.
Public Lottery and Official Schedule
The definition of the selected candidates will be made by electronic public lottery on March 18, 2026, with live transmission on the FaifSul channel on YouTube, ensuring transparency in the process.
After the announcement of the results, the selected candidates must enroll between March 23 and 26, 2026, respecting the deadlines and presenting all the documentation required in the notices.

Registrations should be made on the Petrobras Autonomy and Income Portal, between 02/24/2026 and 03/11/2026, by filling out the electronic form and selecting the campus and course desired at the time of application.
