The Plan For The Revitalization Of The Mature Fields Of The Basin Of Campos Is In Full Swing With The Management Of The Company PetroRio, Which Has Just Announced The Beginning Of Oil Production At The Second Well Of The Frade Field.

On Tuesday, (02/08), the oil and gas company PetroRio announced another step in the revitalization plan for fuel production in the Frade Field, in the Basin Of Campos, located in the southeast of Brazil. This comes as the company has started production at the second oil and natural gas well in the Frade Field region, the 7-FR-55H-RJS, which will now take new directions for the resumption of resource exploration in the area.

Revitalization Of The Basin Of Campos Advances At PetroRio And The Company Announces The Start Of Oil Production At The Second Well Of The Frade Field

The company PetroRio has taken another step forward in advancing its revitalization program for production in the Frade Field, in the Basin of Campos, and announced that it has begun oil production at the second well in the area, the 7-FR-55H-RJS (also called MUP3A). This new phase of the plan will not only enable an expansion of productive resumption in the area, but also a growth of the company in the national oil and gas sector.

In addition, PetroRio announced more details about the oil production campaign in the Frade Field and stated that the 7-FR-55H-RJS well will have an initial average extraction of approximately 3,500 barrels of oil per day over the first week.

Thus, the oil company has ensured a significant increase in the total produced in its business portfolio in the national territory, which has risen from 48,500 barrels per day to 52,000 barrels per day, with the start of the new revitalization phase in the Basin of Campos.

The entire drilling process for the second well of PetroRio’s revitalization plan for the Frade Field took a total of 40 days, according to data from the oil and gas company, and involved a total investment of US$ 22 million for the works. The company also announced that the MUP3A well utilized the subsea structure and part of the MUP3 well, which had been idle, thus ensuring greater speed and efficiency in the drilling works of the structure.

PetroRio Continues To Achieve Good Results In The Revitalization Plan Of The Frade Field And Will Increase National Oil Production With A New Well In The Region

Following the start of oil production at the most recent well drilled by PetroRio in the Frade Field, the next step in the revitalization plan for the region is already being executed through the Norbe VI rig from Ocyan, and it will be the drilling of the first injector well within the scope of revitalizing the area. This structure aims to enhance or improve the recovery of natural gas or oil from a reservoir, so that a fluid such as water and gas can be injected.

It is worth noting that PetroRio had already announced good results in the revitalization plan for the Frade Field over the past months, with the drilling of the first well in the region, the ODP4, which ensured the company a stabilized initial production of approximately 15,000 barrels of oil per day. The company managed to expand its production capacity by 45%, totaling 48,500 barrels of oil per day.

The revitalization plan for the Frade Field continues in full swing and is expected to receive new multi-million dollar investments for its continuation, as in February of this year, PetroRio’s CEO, Roberto Monteiro, stated that the drilling works for wells in the Frade Field would receive around US$ 210 million in investments.
