The Proposal Sent to Congress of R$ 24.34 Million Will Be Allocated to the Companies Emgepron, Transbel, and AmGT
The Executive Power forwarded a proposal to the National Congress, granting R$ 24.34 million to three state-owned companies. The text (PLN 34/20) amends the Annual Budget Law of 2020 regarding the investments of federal state-owned enterprises. The state-owned companies are: Emgepron, Transbel, and AmGT.

Transpetro Bel 09 – Transbel: is expected to spend R$ 7.5 million on leasing the area for processing, storage, and distribution of fuels and natural gas at the Port of Belém, in addition to investing in generating its own resources.
Amazonas Geração e Transmissão de Energia – AmGT: will allocate R$ 15 million for the expansion, improvement, and maintenance of the system. Most of the funding will come from self-generated resources – R$ 11 million, but the amount of R$ 3.9 million will be canceled.

Paulo Guedes, the Minister of Economy, stated that “The requests of these three companies will allow the fulfillment of commitments that were not foreseen at the time of drafting the current Budget.”
The proposal will now be analyzed by the Mixed Budget Commission of the National Assembly, which has not yet been established. It will then continue to be discussed and voted on among deputies and senators in the joint meeting of Congress.
The joint project of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate regulated the remote deliberation of the budget law proposal by Congress.
