Suzuki Vitara Impresses In The SUV Segment With Excellent Fuel Economy, Reaching 17.6 Km/L And Offering A Range Of 587 Km, Standing Out Among The Competitors In The Price Range Of R$ 60 Thousand.
The Suzuki Vitara continues to stand out in the automotive market, especially in the SUV segment, thanks to its fuel efficiency, style, and versatility. The model, which is one of the major representatives of the Japanese brand in Brazil, has increasingly attracted consumers looking for a robust, efficient, and relatively affordable vehicle. The fourth generation of Suzuki’s SUV, launched in 2016, brought a series of improvements that solidified it as a strong competitor in the compact SUV category.
With a price starting in the range of R$ 60 thousand in the used market, the Vitara offers a combination of power, fuel economy, and technological features that make it an attractive option for those looking for an agile SUV for daily use and, at the same time, capable of tackling challenging roads. Its performance, combined with comfort and safety, has caught the attention of consumers and left competitors on alert in the competitive SUV automotive market.
Performance And Fuel Economy Impressive In The SUV Suzuki Vitara
One of the major advantages of the Suzuki Vitara is its fuel efficiency, which places it in a differentiated position within the SUV automotive market. Equipped with the K14C Boosterjet 1.4-liter engine, the 4Sport version offers 146 hp of power and 23.5 kgfm of torque, resulting in exceptional performance for a vehicle in this category.

With these numbers, the Vitara SUV reaches 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds, making it one of the fastest models in its class.
However, the major highlight is its fuel economy. With gasoline, the Vitara achieves impressive consumption averages: 14.4 km/L in the city and 17.6 km/L on the highway. With a range of up to 587 km on a single tank, this SUV not only offers agility and power but also an economical performance that certainly pleases consumers concerned about fuel costs.
The Suzuki Vitara is relatively light, weighing only 1,170 kg, which further contributes to its efficiency and agility. This mechanical set positions the model as a highly competitive option, especially compared to other SUVs in its price range.
Safety And Comfort Equipment
When it comes to safety and comfort, Suzuki’s car does not disappoint. The 4Sport version, for example, comes equipped with seven airbags, leather-wrapped seats, LED daytime running lights, and front parking sensors. These features ensure not only a safer ride but also add a touch of sophistication to the vehicle.
Other notable items include electric mirrors, automatic headlight and wiper activation, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, which give the Suzuki Vitara SUV a premium finish.
Even the 4You version, more accessible, offers a number of comfort items, such as automatic air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, keyless start, and a rearview camera, features that enhance its appeal in the automotive market.
Engine And 4×4 Drive Alternatives For Those Seeking Versatility
For those on a tighter budget, the Suzuki Vitara also offers the version with the M16A 1.6-liter engine. This engine, although less powerful than the K14C Boosterjet, delivers 126 hp and 16.7 kgfm of torque, sufficient for solid everyday performance. The 4You version, equipped with this engine, comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, providing a smooth and pleasant driving experience.
Another major highlight of the Vitara is the Allgrip traction system, which allows the driver to choose between four driving modes: automatic, sporty, for low-grip terrain, and a mode with differential lock for extreme situations.
This 4×4 traction system makes the Suzuki Vitara an excellent option for those looking for an SUV capable of tackling both urban environments and off-road adventures. It is versatility in its essence, something that few SUVs in the same price range can offer in the automotive market.
Restyling And Technological Improvements In The 2019 Suzuki Vitara
In 2019, the Suzuki Vitara underwent a restyling that brought even more modernity to the model. The changes include a new front grille and bumpers, as well as updates to the rear lights. Inside, the instrument panel gained a color screen, and the multimedia center was improved, becoming faster and more efficient.
The 4Style version also began to come with the option of a sunroof, something highly appreciated by consumers looking for a more sophisticated SUV. These updates position the Suzuki Vitara as one of the most modern and technological options in its category, consolidating its presence in the automotive market.
Points Of Attention: Maintenance And Possible Problems
Although the Suzuki Vitara is widely praised for its robustness and efficiency, it is important to pay attention to some points related to maintenance.
The K14C Boosterjet engine, for example, may exhibit excessive carbon buildup on the exhaust valves, which affects the vehicle’s performance. Additionally, the 4×4 Allgrip traction system, while extremely efficient, requires special care, such as regular checking of the rear differential oil.
Another point of attention is the sunroof, which may show signs of oxidation and mold if not properly cared for. It is essential to keep the tracks clean and lubricated to avoid problems with the opening mechanism. The start-stop system, common in newer models, may exhibit faults if the battery is worn out, which is something to consider before closing a deal.
Suzuki Vitara Stands Out In The Used Automotive Market With Excellent Cost-Benefit
The Suzuki Vitara is undoubtedly an excellent choice for those seeking a compact, efficient SUV with great cost-benefit. With an accessible price range, around R$ 60 thousand, it offers impressive performance, fuel economy, and a list of features that make it highly competitive in the SUV automotive market.
