Attention, those interested in the Navy contest for the Naval School! The registration deadline has been extended. The period, which was initially set to end on May 12, now goes until May 19, 2025. The extension occurred due to the inclusion of Palmas (TO) as one of the test locations. The selection offers 66 positions for young people with a complete or pending high school diploma.
The Brazilian Navy has extended the registration period for admission to the Naval School. Candidates now have until May 19, 2025, to register. The decision to extend the deadline was made after the corporation added the city of Palmas, the capital of Tocantins, to the list of cities where the tests will be held. With this, the total number of test locations has risen to 23 cities across the country.
Positions and Requirements: Who Can Compete for the Naval School?
This Navy contest will fill a total of 66 positions. Of this total, 54 are allocated for male candidates and 12 for female candidates. The Naval School, located in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), is the higher education institution responsible for training future Navy officers. To compete, candidates must meet the following requirements:

- Have a complete high school education or be in the final stage of completion.
- Be between 18 and 22 years of age (completed by June 30, 2026).
- Be single.
- Not have children or dependents.
How to Register for the Navy Contest and Status of Fee Exemption
Those interested must register exclusively online. The electronic address is www.inscricao.marinha.mil.br. The fee for participation in the contest is R$ 100.00. There was a period to request the exemption of this fee for beneficiaries of CadÚnico and bone marrow donors. However, the deadline to request the grant ended on May 5, 2025.
Selection Steps
The first phase of the Navy contest consists of written tests. They are scheduled for August 24 and 31, 2025. Multiple-choice questions will cover mathematics, English, physics, and Portuguese. There will also be an essay. The tests will be held simultaneously in the following 23 cities:

After the first phase, approved candidates will go through further stages. Between November 2025 and January 2026, there will be: document verification, health inspection, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation.
Career in the Navy: Education, Salary, and Specializations at the Naval School
Candidates who pass all stages of the Navy contest will enter the Naval School. They will undertake a degree in Naval Sciences, lasting four years. The regime is boarding school. Classes are scheduled to begin on February 2, 2026. During the course, students are enrolled as Aspirants. In this capacity, they receive a monthly salary of R$ 1,500.00. They are also entitled to uniforms, meals, and assistance in medical, dental, psychological, social, and religious matters.
The course is divided into academic and summer periods, with internships and training trips. At the beginning of the third year, aspirants choose a specialization area within three Corps of the Navy:
- Corps of the Navy (qualifications: mechanical, electronic, or armament systems)
- Corps of Marines (qualifications: mechanical, electronic, or armament systems)
- Corps of Supply Officers (qualification: administration)
After completing the course and graduating, the military is appointed as Second Lieutenant. This is the first rank of an officer career. At this rank, the salary is around R$ 7,500.00, in addition to additional benefits provided in the Armed Forces pay table.
