PVS 2025 Notice Opens Positions for Face-to-Face and Distance Tutors in RJ, with Scholarships from the Cecierj Foundation that Reach Up to R$ 1,500.
The Cecierj Foundation has initiated the new 2025 Tutor Selection for the Cecierj Social Pre-University Course, offering face-to-face and distance vacancies throughout Rio de Janeiro, with scholarships from the Foundation that can exceed R$ 1,500 monthly.
The selection process, following the PVS 2025 Notice, has been open since December 6 and will continue until January 6, exclusively online.
The selection seeks graduates and current students interested in participating in a public educational project of great social impact, expanding students’ access to higher education.

The distribution of opportunities includes 117 immediate scholarships, plus a reserve list, in strategic hubs across the state.
The scholarships do not create employment relationships, but ensure remuneration according to chosen workload and subject.
Furthermore, the management of the Social Pre-University Course is responsible for planning and executing all stages of the selection.
Positions for Tutors RJ: How the Distribution of Opportunities Works
The PVS 2025 Notice lists face-to-face (TP) and distance (TD) vacancies in different subjects, including Portuguese, Essay, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English, Spanish, and Sign Language.
The opportunities cover hubs such as Angra dos Reis, Cabo Frio, Macaé, Madureira, Nova Friburgo, Resende, São Gonçalo, São João de Meriti, Tanguá, Volta Redonda, and various municipalities in the interior.
Additionally, there are distance tutoring positions in English, Spanish, and Sign Language Interpretation, allowing for completely online work.
Below are some highlights of the distribution:
Biology: 16 vacancies in cities like Angra dos Reis, Cordeiro, Itaboraí, Teresópolis, and Vila Isabel.
Physics: vacancies in Cabo Frio, Carmo, Macaé, Duque de Caxias, Três Rios, and other regions.
Geography: opportunities in Carmo, Itaguaí, Paraíba do Sul, Vila Isabel, and Volta Redonda.
History: hubs like Copacabana, Petrópolis, Tanguá, and Angra dos Reis have open positions.
Mathematics: extensive distribution with vacancies in Magé, Mesquita, Volta Redonda, São Pedro da Aldeia, and more.
Portuguese and Essay: vacancies in Penha, São Gonçalo, Nova Friburgo, Teresópolis, Macaé, Paraíba do Sul, among others.
Sign Language Interpreter: 2 face-to-face vacancies in Angra dos Reis.
Furthermore, this diversity reinforces the state reach of the Cecierj Social Pre-University Course, which has been preparing students for the ENEM and entrance exams in Rio for years.
Cecierj Foundation Scholarships: Values, Schedules, and Modalities
Face-to-face tutors fulfill 8 hours weekly on Saturdays, receiving scholarships proportional to teaching hours, which vary from around R$ 770 to amounts exceeding R$ 1,500.
In specific functions, such as in the case of Sign Language interpreters, the value may be higher.
Distance tutors in English and Spanish undertake activities in a virtual environment for 20 hours weekly, with scholarships starting at approximately R$ 770 for undergraduates.
All scholarships are funded by the Cecierj Foundation according to state regulation.
Open Applications: Deadlines and Required Documents
Applications for the 2025 Tutor Selection are open from 12/06/2024 to 01/06/2025. To participate, candidates must:
- Fill out the official form on the Cecierj Social Pre-University Course website.
- Issue the simple GRE on the SEFAZ-RJ portal.
- Make the payment of R$ 40 at Banco Bradesco by 01/07/2025.
Thus, payment alone does not guarantee participation: it is necessary to fully complete the registration and follow all the requirements of the PVS 2025 Notice.
Who Can Participate in the 2025 Tutor Selection
Graduates or current students with active enrollment in institutions recognized by the MEC can register.
Thus, the PVS opens space for both experienced professionals and new educators who wish to enter preparatory education.
On the other hand, the notice prohibits the participation of former scholarship holders dismissed in 2024, candidates without renewal indication, or already allocated for 2025.
How the Selection Process Will Be
The selection occurs in two stages:
1st Stage — Objective Tests (01/26/2025)
General Portuguese Test (20 questions).
Specific Content Test (25 questions).
Eliminatory criteria: fewer than 6 correct answers in Portuguese or fewer than 12 in the specific content.
2nd Stage — Didactic Test (02/06 to 02/15/2025)
The highest-ranked candidates will submit a lesson of up to 10 minutes in virtual format. For Sign Language, there are specific requirements for simultaneous interpretation.
The final grade combines all performances with different weights, requiring a minimum average of 6.0 for approval.
Thus, the final result will be announced on February 17, followed by interest confirmation, recruitment for training, and the start of classes in March.
Mandatory Training Before the Start of Activities
All selected tutors must participate in mandatory training on February 21 and 22, 2025, in hybrid format, with online and face-to-face activities in Rio de Janeiro.
Thus, the training includes pedagogical guidelines, teaching practices, methodologies, and simulated analysis, reinforcing the program’s quality.
