Espírito Santo Stood Out in IPTL of February with the Highest Increases in the Region for Diesel. The Price of the Liter of Common Diesel Reached R$ 5.663!
Espírito Santo was highlighted in the IPTL of February with the highest increases in the region for diesel. The price of the liter of common diesel rose by 2.41%, from R$ 5.530 to R$ 5.663; and S-10 saw an increase of 2.04%, rising from R$ 5.629 to R$ 5.744. “Following the national trend, the increase in diesel prices was also identified at the service stations in the Southeast, with increases exceeding 1.46%. We can already see the reflection at the pumps in the region as it authorized, at the end of last year, the direct sale of hydrated ethanol to the gas stations. According to the 70/30 relationship, ethanol is the most economical option for fueling in São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Meanwhile, gasoline is more advantageous for drivers in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. At the end of January, ethanol appeared as a more favorable option for the entire region, according to the Ticket Log Price Index,” points out Douglas Pina, Head of Urban Market at Edenred Brasil.
The IPTL is a fuel price index based on refueling carried out at the 21 thousand accredited Ticket Log gas stations, which is highly reliable due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: 1 million in total, with an average of eight transactions per second.
