Nuclebrás Equipamentos Pesados (Nuclep) is, this Wednesday, (12/07), in a race to attract new investments and business for the Brazilian nuclear sector. The president of the state-owned company, Carlos Henrique Silva Seixas, has been present in recent days at the facilities of Rosatom, the Russian state-owned company, to strengthen relations with the country. He visited the nuclear energy production boiler houses of the Russian company and established new alliances for future projects aimed at the Brazilian industry.

Recently, Carlos Henrique Silva Seixas, the company’s president, visited Russian lands to seek new alliances for this segment.
He visited the facilities of Rosatom, the Russian state-owned company responsible for the nuclear industry in the country.
The trip was made at the invitation of the Russian company after the signing in September, in Vienna, Austria, of a memorandum with ENBPar aimed at cooperation to promote safe nuclear energy in Brazil and Russia.
Carlos Henrique went to the country accompanied by the Director of INB, Rogério Mendes Carvalho, as well as the host Counselors, the VP of Rosatom for South America, Ruan Nunes, and the Strategic Advisor, Sergei Krivolapov.
The Nuclep team was received by the General Director of Rosatom, Vladimir Petrovich Razin, and was able to discuss with the Russian company the future of the Brazilian nuclear energy market.
With the meeting held in the foreign country, the Brazilian state-owned company hopes that the coming years will be crucial for the growth of the nuclear industry and that Rosatom can be a part of this advancement.
Nuclep Highlights That Proximity to Rosatom Will Expand Horizons for the Future of the Brazilian Shipbuilding Industry in the Coming Years
After the meeting with the General Director of Rosatom, the Nuclep team visited the boiler house for manufacturing equipment for large nuclear power plants and the production site for RITM pressure reactor containers.
Thus, they were able to learn more about the nuclear energy production process of the Russian state-owned company, aiming to acquire new knowledge to use in Brazil.
The president of Nuclep, Carlos Seixas, commented on how strengthening relations with Russia will be important for the development of the Brazilian shipbuilding industry in the coming years.
“Rosatom is one of the largest global companies in the nuclear sector. We negotiate the use of our expertise and capacity with the Russian state-owned company, in order to contribute to the development of the sector in South America. We are advancing on the possibility of manufacturing Small Reactors (SMRs) and other projects developed by Rosatom,” he concluded.
