The platform is located approximately 200 km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in water depths of 2,200 meters, and has the capacity to process up to 180,000 barrels of oil daily and compress up to 6 million m³ of natural gas. In September, the unit produced an average of 48,000 barrels per day. The oil production from the FPSO is conducted via shuttle tankers, and the gas production is channeled through the pre-salt gas pipeline routes.
With the start of production in the Sépia Field, Petrobras reaffirms and consolidates the focus of its strategy on deep and ultra-deep water reservoirs, in projects that prioritize safety and respect for the environment, accelerating value generation for society.
