First Synthetic Gasoline Is Now Being Produced On A Large Scale Worldwide! New Fuel Does Not Require Mechanical Adjustments To Fuel Cars, Ships, And Airplanes!

Gasoline without petroleum? The first global plant for eco-friendly fuel was inaugurated on December 20, 2022! Chile, in partnership with Siemens Energy, Porsche, and other multinationals, created e-gasoline, the world’s first synthetic gasoline that promises to revolutionize sustainable energy on the planet! CNN Brasil was the only Brazilian outlet to cover the launch of the industrial complex!

The basis of the entire synthetic gasoline process consists of two well-known elements found in the Magallanes region, in southern Chile: wind and water. The new fuel promises to be part of a true technological revolution.

CNN had access to a reserved room at the plant where employees store three glass jars with samples of the new fuel. According to the newspaper, the new synthetic gasoline produced on a large scale worldwide is transparent like water and has a mild alcohol smell.

Wind and water: the strong winds in the Magallanes region, in southern Chile, provide over six thousand hours of maximum operational load for generating green electricity, about three times the amount available in Europe, and are the kickoff for the production process. The second essential element used is water.

Synthetic gasoline can fuel everything from cars to ships and airplanes while reducing carbon emissions. “It is one of the cleanest gasolines in the world coming into operation. It’s a significant innovation being made now, not in the future,” says André Clark, Senior VP of Siemens Energy for Latin America.

Porsche, Also A Project Partner, Fuels The Mobil 1 Supercup Model With The New Petroleum-Free Gasoline!

According to information from CNN, the plant initially uses the electrolysis process, which separates water into oxygen and hydrogen, for the large-scale production of the revolutionary eco-friendly fuel.

The next step is to synthesize the components with carbon dioxide, creating synthetic methanol. Through the refining process, the structure transforms the compound into gasoline.

Synthetic gasoline emits 90% less CO2 into the atmosphere than fossil-based (petroleum) fuels and does not require mechanical adjustments to vehicles for use.

The German automaker Porsche, also a project partner, filled the tank of the Mobil 1 Supercup and circulated normally through the plant as it would with any other petroleum-based fuel!

The Future Of Sustainable Energy On The Planet Will Pass Through Brazil And Chile

The production of the new synthetic gasoline reached 750,000 liters per year in its pilot phase, but it aims to reach the target of 55 million liters of e-gasoline per year by 2025 and 550 million liters per year by 2027. This is enough fuel for over a million people to drive their cars for nearly a year.

“This test is also very important for operations in Brazil. The wind quality in Patagonia is very similar to that of northeastern Brazil and the potential is huge. The future of sustainable energy on the planet will certainly pass through Brazil and Chile,” said the Senior VP of Siemens Energy.

Mais uma alternativa energetica,
Sim o processo básico já era conhecido, processo de Sabatier, adição de hidrogênio, catalizador, o grande avanço está no uso de catalizador menos raro e caro que o niquel. Um avanço sem dúvida.
