The Diving has always been necessary in underwater intervention activities in the oil and gas sector, especially in the early days when constant maintenance was required on fixed platforms and in shallow waters. As the First ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) Came Into Action Due to Their Capabilities for Deeper Dives, These Professionals Are Being Demanded Less and Less.
But make no mistake, we are not diminishing their importance; there are services that can only be performed by divers due to the sensitivity and nature of underwater tasks. The limitation refers only to physiology, not professionalism. Companies in the sector are already starting to think the same way and have begun to announce selection processes, given that many platforms and vessels have been without maintenance for quite some time.

OSM OFFSHORE has issued a call for diving specialists; the job responsibilities have not been disclosed, but assuming that the word “specialist” was mentioned, any additional information is unnecessary, as long as you have all the necessary training, qualifications, and experiences to perform the profession in this type of environment.
