Aiming At The Expansion Of Its Decommissioning Project In The Basin Of Campos With Petrobras, Ocyan’s Vessel Is Departing For A New Stage Of The Initiative. The Vessel Is At The Port Of Vitória, In Espírito Santo, Where It Is Unloading The First Equipment Retrieved From The Seabed. More Than 90 Tons Of Equipment Were Collected In The First Phase Of The State-Owned Company’s Project.

Ocyan’s Vessel Heads To Two New Operational Areas Of The Basin Of Campos To Continue Petrobras’ Decommissioning Project

The Decommissioning Project Of The Basin Of Campos, Designed By Petrobras, Achieved New Results This February.

The Vessel Chartered By Ocyan With Solstad Departed For The Port Of Vitória, In Espírito Santo, To Unload The First Equipment Retrieved From The Seabed And Prepare For The Next Stage Of The Project.

Part Of This Equipment Will Be Returned To Petrobras, While The Others Will Be Disposed Of, Following All ESG (Environmental, Social, And Governance) Criteria.

André Luiz Magalhães, Executive Manager Of Submarine Construction At Ocyan, Highlighted That The First Stage Of The Decommissioning Project Was Successfully Completed With Petrobras.

“The Joint Effort Of The Engineering And Operations Teams Contributed Significantly To The Outcome. This Decommissioning Activity Represents A New Moment For Ocyan, Which Continues To Expand Its Activity In The Field Of Submarine Construction.”

In This Initial Stage Alone, The Vessel Collected More Than 90 Tons Of Equipment In The Basin Of Campos.

Among Them Are Three MCVs (Vertical Connection Modules), One PLEM (Pipeline End Manifold), And One PLET (Pipeline End Termination).

The Executive Also Highlighted That All Stages Are According To Petrobras’ Timeline: “The Work Has Been Executed As Planned, On Schedule And In Accordance With Our Analyses, Risks, And Studies For This Project.”

Decommissioning Project Of The Basin Of Campos Advances And The Vessel Will Proceed To Collect Equipment In New Operational Areas 

After The Completion Of The Delivery Of The Collected Equipment In The Decommissioning Project Of The Basin Of Campos, Ocyan’s Vessel Will Initiate A Campaign Of Cuts And Inspections Of The Structures To Be Collected.

Then, It Will Return To The Mauá Shipyard In Niterói (RJ) For The Installation Of The Coils. Finally, The Vessel Will Collect Pipelines Located In The Areas Where The FPSO Cidade Do Rio De Janeiro And FPSO Cidade De Rio Das Ostras Operated In The Basin Of Campos.

Throughout The Second Half Of The Year, Ocyan’s Vessel Will Perform The Same Work In The Basin Of Sergipe Alagoas.

André Luiz Magalhães Reinforced That The Company Will Monitor All Subsequent Processes Of The State-Owned Company’s Project. 

In This Way, Ocyan Will Ensure Even Greater Efficiency In The Decommissioning Campaign In Petrobras’ Basin Of Campos.
