Federal Institute Opens Enrollment for Free Online English and Spanish Courses. No Tests Required, the Program Offers 30 Hours of Study and Free Certification Upon Completion.

Would you like to learn English or Spanish without spending a cent and from the comfort of your home?

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) offers a unique opportunity for those who want to deepen their language skills for free, 100% online and without the need to pass selection tests.

And the best part: upon completing the course, participants receive a certificate, enhancing their qualifications and professional skills.

But, attention, spots are limited and the registration deadline is approaching.

Recently, IFRS announced new classes for the courses of English 1 and Spanish 1 (October Extra), both focused on beginners and structured to be conducted remotely, with a total workload of 30 hours.

Enrollment will be open until December 31, 2024, or until spots are filled.

Interested individuals should access the IFRS website, choose the desired course, and secure their spot.

English and Spanish Courses: Content and Structure

In the English course, students will have access to content focused on essential themes such as personal identification and characterization, as well as guidance on temporal and spatial location.

The material is carefully structured so that beginners can understand the basics of the language within a period of up to three months, with a final completion deadline of January 31, 2025.

For those opting for the Spanish course, the content includes basic modules on conversation, greetings and farewells, alphabet, and personal pronouns, as well as an introduction to essential verbs like “ser” and “estar.”

Students will also learn about definite articles, interrogative and exclamatory pronouns, cardinal numbers, and fundamental grammar rules, creating a solid foundation in the language.

The course content also covers a section dedicated to nationality and origin, using adjectives, pluralization rules, and ordinal numbers, allowing for broad and facilitated immersion in the Spanish language.

Certification and Continuation of Studies

Students who complete the course within the deadline will be entitled to a free certificate issued by IFRS itself.

This document can be a differentiator on the resume, proving dedication and knowledge in a new language.

If the student completes the English course before the final deadline of December 31, 2024, they can enroll in more advanced modules, such as English 2 or English 3, available on the platform.

Inclusive and Free Education for Everyone

The initiative of IFRS aims to promote language learning in an inclusive and accessible way, allowing more people to enhance their skills and qualify for the job market.

With no costs and no location barriers, the English and Spanish courses are an excellent alternative for those seeking knowledge but facing time and budget limitations.

Enrollment Process: Easy and Accessible

The courses are accessible to anyone interested in learning, and the enrollment process is quick and practical.

Just access the online platform of IFRS, go to the category “Languages, Linguistics, and Literature” and choose the desired course.

There are no selection requirements or tests to participate, which broadens access for all interested individuals in Brazil.

IFRS emphasizes that, being entirely online, the courses can be taken by people from any region of the country, offering the chance to learn flexibly.

So, will you miss this chance to learn a new language without leaving home? Share your opinion: which language would you choose to learn and why?
