IF Offers More Than 2 Thousand Places in Free Technical Courses
The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IF) has more than 2 thousand places open in free technical courses for the first semester of 2025. There are 1,400 places for Technical High School, aimed at those who wish to pursue high school integrated with technical training, and more than 600 places for the subsequent technical courses, aimed at those who have already completed high school.
The courses are completely free and are distributed across various IF campuses, covering areas such as technology, industry, health, administration, and much more. Registrations can be made until October 24, 2024. The selection for these places will be made through a classification exam, with tests scheduled for November 24.

How the Selection Process Works
The selection process for subsequent technical courses and Technical High School will be conducted through a classification test, which will take place on November 24, 2024. The tests will consist of 28 multiple-choice questions, with content divided into Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Science, Geography, and History.
- Technical High School: The test is aimed at those who have completed elementary school and wish to take high school along with technical training. The questions are based on elementary school content.
- Subsequent Technical Courses: For those who have already completed high school, the test questions are based on high school content.
Where to Register
Registrations can be made online until October 24, 2024. Interested parties must access the IF Registration Portal, fill out the form, and pay the registration fee, which is BRL 55.00. For candidates who meet the requirements, it is possible to request a fee waiver until October 15.
