How The Selection Works
Unlike traditional entrance exams or objective tests, IFPB’s selection will be based on candidates’ academic performance. This means that the institution will use the students’ grades to classify and select future students, without the need for tests. This methodology aims to facilitate access to technical education, valuing candidates’ academic history.
The vacancies are distributed among IFPB campuses located in several Paraíba cities, including Areia, Cabedelo, Cabedelo Centro, Cajazeiras, Campina Grande, Catolé do Rocha, Esperança, Guarabira, Itabaiana, Itaporanga, João Pessoa, Mangabeira, Monteiro, Patos, Pedras de Fogo, Picuí, Princesa Isabel, Santa Luzia, Santa Rita, Soledade, and Sousa. Each campus offers a variety of technical courses that meet regional demands and equip students for the job market.
Inclusion Policies
One of the differentiators of IFPB’s selection process is the reserve of places system, which ensures the inclusion of candidates from different socioeconomic backgrounds. 50% of the places are reserved for students who completed elementary school in public schools.
Within this percentage, there are specific quotas for self-declared black, brown, and indigenous candidates (PPI), self-declared quilombola candidates (Q), and candidates with disabilities (PcD). Furthermore, there are reserves for candidates with a family income equal to or less than a minimum wage.
This inclusion policy aims to promote equity in access to technical education, offering real opportunities for those facing social and economic barriers. With this, IFPB reaffirms its commitment to diversity and equal opportunities.
How To Apply
To participate in the selection process of the Federal Institute, candidates must access the portal estudante.ifpb.edu.br and fill out the application form.
It is important to pay attention to the deadline, as applications run from September 4 to October 3, 2024. Additionally, it is essential that the candidate has their school records on hand, as they will be the basis for the selection.
IFPB is one of the most respected educational institutions in Brazil, and this is a unique opportunity for those looking to obtain quality technical training at no cost. With more than 4,000 vacancies in various areas and modalities, the selection process for 2025.1 promises to be highly competitive.
