The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) announced the opening of a selection process for hiring tutor-teachers for online courses in the Specialization Course in Educational Technologies for Teaching Practice in Health Education. Who Can Participate
Interested candidates wishing to participate in the selection process for home office positions must meet some important prerequisites. It is necessary to have a higher education degree in education or health, in addition to a stricto sensu postgraduate degree (master’s or doctorate) or lato sensu (specialization or residency) in the mentioned areas. Proven teaching experience, especially in EAD, is a differential, as well as skills in using digital tools. Additionally, candidates must be available for at least 20 hours per week for teaching work.
The selected tutors will participate in a completely distance learning pedagogical training course lasting 60 hours, spread over 30 days. This course is essential to prepare tutors for teaching in the virtual environment. Synchronous activities include five shifts of four hours each, totaling 20 hours, in addition to asynchronous activities.
Benefits
Tutors of online courses will receive a monthly stipend as stipulated by CAPES/MEC. For instructors with one year of experience in higher education, the stipend will be R$ 1,550.00. For those with more than three years of experience, the stipend will be R$ 1,850.00. Alternates, in turn, will not receive the monthly stipend until they are effectively called to replace a primary tutor, if necessary.
The activities in the online course include mediating the teaching-learning process, monitoring approximately 30 students, participating in monthly meetings, and attending in-person and remote pedagogical gatherings. Tutors must be available to fully participate in all course activities, including pedagogical meetings and continuous training sessions.
Registration
Registration for the pedagogical training course for online course tutors must be completed between August 20 and 23, 2024. Selected candidates, both effective and alternates, must submit the required documents within the stipulated time. The list of candidates with confirmed registration will be published starting August 27, 2024.
