In This List Of National Refineries, You Will Find Even Addresses And Contact Phone Numbers
Although not widely disclosed, there are indeed many refineries in Brazil, and few people know about them. Some even produce rare petroleum derivatives, while others are so colossal that they account for nearly 80% of the national inputs. Now, with a new rush to transport the pre-salt production from the Santos Basin deposits, some units will begin to resume construction or increase the production rate of the existing refineries.
First, watch the video below on how the oil refining process works and then see which refineries are located in Brazil.
RNEST
RNEST (Abreu e Lima Refinery) is located at the Suape Port Industrial Complex, about 45 km from Recife-PE. It can operate independently in two refining systems, being able to use different productivity systems for each type of oil. For example: LPG, petroleum coke, naphtha, Diesel S-10, and fuel oil.

The aim will be to transport the pre-salt production, and this petrochemical hub located in the city of Itaboraí-RJ is at a strategic point. It will process about 165 thousand barrels of crude oil per day, and its derivatives will be the most diverse, including cooking gas, gasoline, diesel, and other products.
