Meet The New Renault Car To Compete With FIAT
Renault is presenting the fifth generation of the Clio as the 2024 model year. Launched in 1990, over 16 million units of this line have been sold in 33 years on the market. According to the French automaker, Renault’s new car is the perfect definition of Nouvelle Vague, a renewed cycle in the brand’s design language, and nicknamed Renaulution, aiming to stand out with its elegant style and interior with more refined finish details.
The new Clio has also had its technology updated, featuring an extensive range of powertrains, more than any other model in its category, according to the automaker.

The highlight of Renault’s new car is its E-Tech hybrid version with 145 horsepower, which delivers driving pleasure with efficiency. Prices vary by country; however, the Clio costs between 19 and 23 thousand euros.
The new Clio comes with a range of engines that use various energy sources. In addition to the E-Tech hybrid, it also offers gasoline and diesel-only options or gasoline (GLP), with various power ratings allowing customers to choose the configuration according to their needs. An environmentally friendly driving assistant for all powertrain options advises the driver on the best ways to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions.
Robust Design And Many Technologies
The new Clio from Renault features significant transformations, especially at its front end. The headlights, now slimmer, are complemented by elegant lines at the bottom and a wide, dotted front grille.
The LED daytime running lights are a highlight, extending from the upper bar of the headlights to the lines that lead to the bumper, forming a design reminiscent of half a diamond, the brand’s symbol. Innovating in design, Renault opted for clearer rear lights on the Clio, a choice that diverges from the norm.
The design of the diffuser in the rear bumper varies according to the vehicle version and type of engine, whether conventional or hybrid. In the model shown in the pictures, it is the Clio Espirit Alpine, which replaces the RS Line version. Inside, the changes are subtle, maintaining the focus on a vertical screen for the multimedia center, available in sizes of 7 or 9.3 inches, and compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly.
The instrument panel is fully digital, offered in displays of 7 or 10 inches, depending on the version. Renault highlights among the features of the new Clio a 360º camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and more than 18 driving assistants for a safe and comfortable experience.

Launched in 1990, Renault’s car has maintained a successful trajectory over these more than 20 years in the market. To give an idea, more than 16 million units have been sold in 120 countries, earning it the status of the best-selling French car in history. Each generation has brought improvements over the previous version.
It has been over 30 years, and yet the model remains iconic in most countries where it was launched. All its efforts have been recognized. The Clio has been named Car of the Year in Europe twice, a success that continues to this day. 1,400 units are produced daily in Renault’s facilities.
