Representative of WM Construções e Montagens talks about employability within the wind sector

Company that operates in the construction of electrical infrastructure, emerged after the construction of the Wind Farm project in Rio do Fogo

The commercial director of WM Construções e Montagens, Ilmar Carvalho, was present at the Brazil Windpower 2022, an event whose main theme was “Wind sector in expansion and allied to new technologies: the path to a net zero future”, at the São Paulo Expo space. 

During the event, Ilmar Carvalho spoke about WM's areas of activity, which have contributed to the production of clean and renewable energy in the country for thirty years. “The beginning of WM was exactly a wind generation project, which was the Rio do Fogo project with Iberdrola, and that is where this vein was born to be working in generation infrastructure works, construction, assembly, civil works, mainly, involving transmission lines, substation and medium voltage network”, stressed the exhibitor.

In an interview for the CPG website (clickpetroleoegas), WM's commercial director pointed out that due to the change in culture and the new business format, the company has generated new job opportunities in the last two years, providing employability of more than 50%. “With the increase in the volume of works in this format, we have an average of 200 new employees for each work, which reinforces. We are starting a new project in Kairós, Ceará”, highlighted Ilmar.

The Brazil Windpower congress brings together, during these three days of congress, the main authorities and executives of the sector that bring to the agenda the main issues of the current wind sector.
