Ford Issues Urgent Alert Calling Owners of Important Vehicle Alerting That Noted Error May Cause Fatal Accidents.
You may be driving a car that poses an imminent risk of a fatal accident! Ford, one of the most beloved automakers by Brazilians, has issued an urgent statement calling owners of a specific model for a recall. But what exactly is happening? And how might this affect you?
According to Ford Motor Company Brazil Ltd., the recall involves the automotive accessory “hood air intake” installed or for installation in Ford Bronco Sport vehicles, models from 2021 to 2024. The company explains that “the installation of the air intake accessory may not have proper adhesion to the vehicle’s hood due to the design of the parts, potentially causing the accessory to detach while the vehicle is in motion.”
The risks are significant, Ford states. According to the automaker, in the case of detachment of the hood air intake while the vehicle is in motion, the accessory may break the vehicle’s windshield or affect other roadway users. This increases the risk of accidents, with possible physical injuries and, in extreme cases, fatal risks to the vehicle’s occupants and to third parties.

Ford is offering free removal of the hood air intake and refund of the amount paid for the accessory. To check if your vehicle is involved in this Recall Campaign, owners should contact the Ford Service Center (CAF) at 0800 703 3673 or a Ford dealership of their choice. The expected service time is approximately one hour for the free removal of the hood air intake, with variations possible depending on the dealership’s service flow. The start date for service is July 30, 2024.
Ford also “emphasizes the importance of immediate compliance with this call,” stressing that it is essential to attend for safety procedures. “Participation in the recall is crucial to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers,” says the company.
