Shotgun 650 vs. Super Meteor 650: What Are the Differences?
While sharing the same engine and chassis, the Shotgun and the Super Meteor have different proposals, which is reflected in several details.
- Style: The Shotgun has an all-black (piano black) finish, while the Super Meteor opts for chrome accents.
- Ergonomics: In the Shotgun, the footpegs are centered and the handlebars are narrower and straighter. In the Super Meteor, the footpegs are forward-mounted and the handlebars are wider.
- Wheels and Tires: The Shotgun uses alloy wheels with an 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear. The Super Meteor uses a 19-inch front and a 16-inch rear.
The Two-Cylinder Engine and 47 Horsepower
The engine of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 2026 is the well-known parallel twin with 648cc, featuring air and oil cooling. It delivers 47 horsepower and a torque of 5.3 kgf.m.
The setup works with a six-speed transmission and a slip and assist clutch, which prevents rear wheel lock-up during downshifts and makes the lever operation lighter.
Performance and Real-World Fuel Consumption
The Shotgun 650 is a motorcycle focused on mid-range torque rather than top speed. Its maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h.
Fuel consumption, according to testing, is a positive aspect:
- Aggressive Riding: The consumption is between 19 and 23 km/l.
- Normal Riding: In more relaxed riding, the motorcycle can exceed 25 km/l, reaching up to 28 km/l.
The Price in 2026 and Points of Attention
The price of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 2026 varies depending on the color. The single-color version, like the gray seen in the test, starts at R$ 33,990.
Despite being a very stylish motorcycle, the review pointed out some drawbacks. The main issues are the limitation for making turns, as the footpegs scrape the ground easily, the turn signals with regular bulbs (instead of LED), and the first service, which occurs with just 500 km.

Tá mais pra Shitgun. Não faz curvas tem um painel sem conta giros e com um equipamento o tal do tripper que é a coisa mais inútil que já vi.
Supermeteor 650 é mais confortável para viagens e também vai bem na cidade mas não é sua vocação e a shotgun também para a cidade não é muito boa por conta da força do motor e não ter como andar até a sexta marcha então ela consome muito pois você anda bem com ela na cidade em 3° marcha aí já viu né vai beber combustível
