The New Estimate for the 2025/2026 Harvest by Conab Forecasts a Record 354.7 Million Tons of Grains, Highlighting Soybeans, Corn, and Increases in Brazilian Agricultural Exports
The 2025/2026 harvest begins with optimistic projections for the Brazilian agribusiness, according to a report published.
According to the first estimate from the National Supply Company (Conab), the total grain production is expected to reach 354.7 million tons, representing a 0.8% increase compared to the previous cycle.
The growth is supported by a 3.3% increase in the planted area, totaling 84.4 million hectares. This performance reinforces Brazil’s position as a global leader in agricultural productivity and grain exports.

Alone, the producer applies 7,400 hectares with the T100 drone in an optimized structure, replaces the generator with a silent battery, and demonstrates how technology reduces costs, increases productivity, and even challenges the uniport in the field.

China banned the export of 22 tons of meat from Argentina.

JBS, founded by the Batista brothers, continues to conquer the world: entrepreneurs built a ‘factory in the desert’ creating 3,000 jobs.

With only 1% of Brazil’s territory, Santa Catarina has built one of the most competitive industrial parks in the country, with 64,000 companies, nearly 1 million jobs, and a growth rate of 5.3% while the national industry is practically stagnant.
The estimate released by the state-owned company also provides a detailed overview of the behavior of the main crops: soybeans, corn, rice, beans, and wheat, which drive the economy and the rural sector of the country.
2025/2026 Harvest: Grain Production in Brazil Maintains Expansion Pace with Highlight on Soybeans
Among the evaluated crops, soybeans remain the flagship of grain production in Brazil.
The planted area is expected to grow by 3.6%, reaching 49.1 million hectares, and the projected harvest is 177.6 million tons, compared to 171.5 million from the 2024/25 harvest.
The September rains in the Central-South states favored the start of planting, with 11.1% of the area already cultivated, a performance better than the same period last year.
In Mato Grosso and Paraná, the main producers in the country, planting reached 18.9% and 31%, respectively, in the first ten days of October.
These figures reinforce the good start of the 2025/2026 harvest, marked by good climatic conditions and optimism from the productive sector.
Corn 2025 Exports and Increased Demand Strengthen the Internal Market
The corn crop also shows good prospects for the new cycle. The planted area is expected to reach 22.7 million hectares, with a total production of 138.6 million tons across the three annual harvests.
In the first harvest alone, the expected increase is 6.1% in the planted area, resulting in 25.6 million tons, a 2.8% increase compared to the previous cycle.
Corn exports in 2025 are expected to reach 46.5 million tons, surpassing the 40 million shipped in 2024/25.
Domestic consumption is also rising from 90.5 million to 94.5 million tons, driven by the greater demand for corn intended for ethanol production.
Even with the increase in consumption, Conab forecasts stability in carryover stocks, ensuring balance between supply and demand and reinforcing the relevance of the cereal in the 2025/2026 harvest.
Irrigated Rice and Beans 2025 Production Indicate Stability in National Supply
In the case of rice, the first estimate indicates a reduction of 5.6% in the planted area, totaling 1.66 million hectares.
In the irrigated area, the projected decline is 3.7%, while the dryland cultivation may reach 12.5%. Irrigated rice production is expected to reach 11.5 million tons, maintaining a good supply to the domestic market.
Even with a smaller planted area, exports may grow, increasing from 1.6 million to 2.1 million tons.
Meanwhile, the 2025 bean crop is expected to remain stable. Total production across the three harvests is estimated at 3 million tons.
The first harvest will see a reduction of 7.5% in the area, projected at 840.4 thousand hectares. Planting is completed in São Paulo and ongoing in the Southeast and South regions of the country, with expectations of good performance in the other regions.
