In addition to the selection of interns, Santander reveals that all those enrolled in the selection process will receive a scholarship for the Next Steps course. This course is aimed at supporting students' professional careers and is certified by FIA USP and Santander.

The selection process initiative is carried out by Santander Universities in partnership with the Avançar Program, which over 7 years has benefited more than 4,3 university students by guaranteeing their first experiences in the job market.

Head of Santander talks about internship program

Nicolás Vergara, head of Santander Universities says: “Getting an internship in the current scenario is a challenge and Universitário Empresas – a program that has been in existence since 2015 – makes even more sense. We bring both ends together, who needs support in hiring an intern and who is trying to access the job market for the first time”,

The Program grants more than a thousand scholarships a year, from the first year, ensuring that university students can have their first experiences in the world of work. Half of the interns are hired or have their contract renewed after the end of the scholarship. The advance program makes the connection with the companies that offer the opportunities, stimulating the growth of small and medium-sized companies.

“We know that the current scenario is challenging and our goal is to help small and medium-sized companies continue their development. We want to accelerate the resumption of business and providing an intern can be one of the ways to facilitate this process.” explains Franco Fasoli, Director of Business and Companies.
