Event Takes Place on October 4 and 5 and Will Bring Together Leading Industry Experts

Considered one of the generation modalities that most accelerates the energy transition, centralized renewable energy generation has gained prominence due to the need for more clean sources in the Brazilian electric matrix. It is against this backdrop of expansion that the Brazilian Forum on Centralized Energy Generation (Forum GC) will take place next month in São Paulo, on October 4 and 5, at the Novotel hotel in the historical center of the capital of São Paulo.

Organized by the FRG Media & Events Group, the Forum aims to bring together companies, professionals, and enthusiasts from the sector to explore and discuss essential topics in large-scale renewable generation, such as operation and maintenance (O&M) and equipment for renewable generation.

It is also worth noting that centralized generation refers to a model where electricity is produced in large power plants or generation facilities and then distributed to consumers through a transmission and distribution network.

Currently, data from the SIGA System, from the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), reveal that wind farms based on centralized generation currently total more than 27 GW of installed capacity, while the centralized solar photovoltaic source reaches 10 GW. The event, in turn, aims to highlight the latest trends and technological advances in the field, as the country’s potential has been quite significant.

Claudio Fraga, coordinator of the FRG group, points out that the Forum GC is now the main and only event focused specifically on large-scale renewable energy generation. During the event, topics ranging from market equipment for maximum efficiency and the costs of power plants to matters related to construction and EPC contractors will be addressed.

“We will have the participation of the largest renewable energy generators in the country and the largest manufacturers of equipment for large-scale plants worldwide. Our goal is to maximize our know-how in renewable energy events, where we have had a consolidation in micro and mini generation since 2015, now operating in centralized generation

with the unique challenge of driving and encouraging renewable energy generation on Brazilian soil,” explains Fraga.

The programming will offer lectures from major players in this market, as well as panels of specialists and practical presentations. According to Fraga, the Forum will have the

participation of the largest energy generation and trading companies in the country, as well as major equipment manufacturers, representatives from Brazilian electric sector agencies, and leading market specialists, who will together share knowledge and provide insights for the participants.

“One of the largest energy generators in the world, Voltalia, which is a French company, will be present. They are already sponsoring the event and the other sponsors, most of whom are manufacturers of equipment, are currently the largest in the world,” emphasizes Fraga.

According to him, the forum will be a dynamic environment, filled with networking and collaboration opportunities with the leading professionals and specialists in the sector. Renowned companies from both the domestic and international markets are already confirmed, and the complete list can be accessed on the official Forum GC website.

Registrations for the event are still open. Those who wish to participate can do so through the official Forum GC website via the link: https://www.forumgc.com.br/forumgc/site/.
