The Government of Pernambuco Is Offering More Than 4,000 Slots in Free Technical Courses. The Free Courses Are Intended for Those Who Have Already Completed High School.
In partnership with the Government of Pernambuco, the Secretary of Education and Sports of Pernambuco (SEE) opened, last Saturday (6), registrations for subsequent in-person free technical courses. A total of 4,185 slots in free courses are being offered in all regions of the State for those who have already completed high school.

The slots are distributed among 27 free technical courses. Among them are:
Management
Aims to lead processes of creation and development of entrepreneurial actions, identify and explore opportunities for the development of innovative activities related to the profession, act ethically, responsibly, and driven by ideals of justice, fraternity, and democracy.

Systems Development

Aims to train professionals in the logistics area with theoretical and practical knowledge, aiming to improve quality and productivity in companies of any size or economic activity that require a technical professional profile.

Aims to enable professionals to develop visual communication for print and digital media, following legislation regarding copyright, use of images, trademarks, and patents, accessibility, and sustainability.
Sign Up and Secure a Spot in the Desired Technical Course
Those interested should register for the free technical courses by July 14, through the website of the Government of Pernambuco. There are slots available for all regions of the state.
According to the notice, 80% of the slots in the free courses must be filled predominantly by students who completed high school entirely in public schools. Of these slots for scholarship students, 50% must be prioritized for students from families with a gross income equal to or less than 1.5 minimum wages per capita.
Additionally, 5% of the offered slots will be for adolescents and young people in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability. This percentage will be counted for the purpose of reaching the 80%. Adolescents and young people must meet the following requirements:
- Have schooling suitable for the course;
- Be up to 24 years old, except for persons with disabilities, in which case this age limit will not need to be observed.
Selection Process to Secure Your Spot in the Free Technical Courses
The selection process for the free courses will be conducted in a single stage, consisting of an objective test of an eliminatory and classificatory nature. The objective test will be conducted remotely, containing 20 multiple-choice questions covering the content of the subjects of Portuguese language and mathematics, lasting 60 minutes.
The candidate can take the test in any chosen location, provided it is on the date/time indicated on the registration card, and no changes are allowed. The announcement of the definitive result is scheduled for July 30, and classes will begin on August 5. Among the program content is:
PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE
- Contextual meaning of the word: synonymy, antonymy, ambiguity, polysemy;
- Text, context, and interlocution;
- Genres and types of texts;
- Stylistic devices: connotation and denotation, figures of speech;
- Thematic unity of the text: main and secondary ideas, thematic relations between texts, textual cohesion and coherence.
MATHEMATICS
- Problems with the four operations;
- Exact square root and with decimal approximation;
- Exponents;
- Operations and problems with fractions;
- Operations and problems with decimal numbers;
- Expressions with real numbers;
- Measurement systems (length, area, capacity, and volume).
