If you are looking for a free professional qualification, this might be the ideal chance! SESC has opened registrations for free courses aimed at those who want to learn sewing or cooking. The classes will be offered through the Commitment and Granting Program (PCG), which ensures access to vocational education at no cost for those who meet the program’s criteria.
The courses are aimed at individuals with a family income of up to three minimum wages and will provide the opportunity to learn a new skill, whether to enter the job market or even start a business. Registrations are now open, and the selection process will follow specific criteria. Check how to participate and secure your spot!
Who Can Participate in the SESC Selection Process?
SESC has a priority system for filling vacancies. People wishing to apply must meet certain criteria, the main ones being:
-
USP opens 10,000 spots in a free 100% online course lasting 110 hours in areas such as nutrition and health, with registrations until April 15 and classes on diabetes, obesity, and educational public policies.
-
Excel dominates job openings even in the era of artificial intelligence: analysis reveals high demand and highlights 5 courses to move beyond the basics and advance in the job market.
-
Senai launches free technology courses in Amapá and creates a strategic opportunity for those seeking quick qualification, entry into the job market, and professional growth in areas with high digital demand.
-
Take a free course at the Federal University: UFPR calls 200 candidates for intensive preparation for master’s and doctoral programs.
- Be accredited by SESC or a dependent of an accredited individual;
- Have a family income of up to three minimum wages.
If the vacancies are not fully filled with candidates meeting these requirements, SESC may open registrations to the general public, meaning individuals who are not accredited. Nevertheless, the income requirement of up to three minimum wages will still apply for free participation.
If there are still vacancies remaining after this period, SESC may allow participation from individuals with an income higher than three minimum wages, but in this case, a fee will be charged for enrollment in the course.
Available Courses
The vacancies opened by SESC are for two courses in the area of social enhancement, aimed at vocational training and income generation. See the options:
Sewing – Learn modeling, sewing, and finishing techniques to create garments from scratch. This course is ideal for those who want to start in the fashion industry, sew for personal use, or even start a small business.
Cooking – Basic and advanced techniques for food preparation, focusing on good kitchen practices, varied recipes, and tips to optimize time and costs in dish production. A great opportunity for those looking to venture into the gastronomy field.
The classes are expected to start in February, and SESC will announce more details about schedules and workload soon.
