Thus, the decision marks a strategic step for the current administration, which seeks to guarantee more structure and operational capacity to the Secretary of Social Development.
Authorization Reinforces GDF’s Priority in the Social Area
The release of the Sedes Contest occurs in a context of expanding social assistance policies in the DF.
Thus, the authorization confirms ongoing internal efforts and signals that the GDF considers the social area one of the priorities of public administration.
In the week before the official announcement, the secretary had already indicated that her department was working to enable new hires.
Thus, now, with formal authorization, the process enters a new phase, paving the way for the publication of the notice.
Hiring History Strengthened the Assistance Network
According to Ana Paula Marra, the new contest carries significant symbolic and institutional weight.
She recalled that in 2020, at the beginning of the current administration, 1,121 employees were appointed, which allowed for a profound reorganization of the social assistance network.
“Ending the administration with a new public contest authorized is very gratifying because it means leaving the Secretary structured and prepared to expand social protection,” the secretary stated.
This history reinforces the importance of public vacancies to ensure continuous and qualified assistance to the population in vulnerable situations, as well as to ensure operational stability for the services offered by the State.
Impact of the Contest Goes Beyond Approval
In addition to opening opportunities for candidates preparing for contests, the Sedes Contest has a direct impact on the lives of thousands of families served by the social programs in the DF.
According to the secretary, the reach of the contest goes beyond the individual aspect of approval.
“This contest will not only change the life of those who pass.
The work of these professionals will transform the lives of thousands of people in the Federal District,” highlighted Ana Paula Marra.
Thus, strengthening the technical team is seen as an essential step to expand access to benefits, services, and social public policies.
Gratitude and Recognition for Social Policy
During the announcement, the secretary also thanked Governor Ibaneis Rocha for the institutional support and the authorization of the contest.
According to her, recognizing the importance of social policy is essential for reducing inequalities and promoting social justice.
“Expanding the social protection network is essential to ensure more social justice in our capital,” she stated.
This positioning reinforces the discourse that investing in social development is a long-term strategy aimed at inclusion and citizenship.
Distribution of Vacancies in the Sedes Contest
The 1,197 public vacancies in the Sedes Contest are distributed among two strategic positions in the structure of the secretary.
There are 634 vacancies for the position of specialist in social development and assistance and 563 vacancies for technician in social development and assistance.
Thus, both functions are considered fundamental for the direct execution of public policies, acting in vulnerable territories and managing social programs.
Expectations for the Notice
Although the notice has not yet been set, the official authorization from the GDF raises candidates’ expectations.
Traditionally, contests in the social area attract significant competition, especially due to job stability and the social impact of the work.
Thus, until the notice is published, the recommendation is that interested parties follow the official channels of the Secretary and begin or continue their preparation, considering common content within the area of social assistance and public policies.
