With Billion-Dollar Investment Plan, Auren Energia’s New Solar Power Plant Project Advances With Contract Signing With SKIC Brasil

The Chilean construction company SKIC Brasil took a big step for its operation in the national energy market this week.

It announced a new contract with energy company Auren Energia for the construction project of the company’s new solar power plant. The plant will be installed in the Jaíba Solar Park, an important asset in Minas Gerais for the energy market.

The company invested by Votorantim S.A plans to take advantage of the high potential of 636 MWp (megawatts peak) of its new photovoltaic plant to expand its operations in the region.

According to the new contract with SKIC Brasil for the project, the Chilean company will be responsible for all stages of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) of the project.

Thus, it will provide engineering services, supply of materials, construction, assembly, and start-up of the plant.

In addition, the company will also be responsible for the design of the 230kV transmission line, approximately 9 km long, which will connect the solar power plant to the Brazilian energy system.

Mobilization For Auren Energia’s Project Of Works Is Already Underway After The Agreement With SKIC Brasil For The Solar Power Plant In MG

Auren Energia has high expectations for the future of its operations with the new solar energy project in Minas Gerais.

SKIC Brasil celebrated the signing of the new agreement with the energy company for the construction project of the plant.

“This is a major achievement for SKIC, and the first photovoltaic plant project we will work on in Brazil, which strengthens our presence in the energy sector,” celebrated SKIC Brasil’s CEO, Robson Campos.

“This is a great opportunity for us to advance in Brazil in the renewable energy segment, with high-quality EPC projects, demonstrating to the market SKIC’s planning, execution, and management capabilities in this sector,” concluded the executive.

With mobilization already underway by both companies for the development of the project, more than 1,400 employees are expected at the peak of construction.

The construction of the new solar power plant is part of Auren’s high investment plan of R$ 2.2 billion in the Jaíba Park.

After closing the year 2022 with approximately R$ 1 billion in hand, SKIC Brasil is preparing for a year of great opportunities in 2023. The agreement with Auren Energia for the construction of the new solar plant is just one of the steps for its market growth.
