Gyrodata Incorporated Has Been Officially Acquired by SLB. From Now On, It Will Operate by Providing a High-Tech Service Capable of Improving the Well Drilling Process, Enhancing Quality and Reducing Risks.

After a long negotiation process, it was publicly announced that Gyrodata Incorporated now belongs to SLB. The company was acquired to leverage its technology for the quality of wells, optimizing the procedures that are already normally carried out and reducing the risks that may arise during drilling. The goal is to make more assertive decisions and improve the overall success rate.

Gyrodata Incorporated Specializes in Well Gyroscope Positioning and Research Technology

A reference in the global energy sector, Gyrodata Incorporated has strong development in research, utilizing technology to make precise decisions that will yield better results.

In this regard, one of the company’s main highlights is the positioning of well gyroscopes. From this, it is possible to improve drilling accuracy and avoid waste for the client company, including time and money.

The technology of Gyrodata Incorporated will be incorporated into SLB’s Well Constructions, ensuring the safest and most innovative solutions in the drilling area, especially regarding well geolocation and surveying technologies.

The client’s investment translates into gains from accurate drilling in various locations, particularly those that may go unnoticed by simpler equipment, lacking the precision for which Gyrodata is known in the market.

Greater Drilling Efficiency Is the Major Expectation from the Acquisition through Small Changes in Company Procedures

As a leader in the research segment, Gyrodata Incorporated specializes in the location of wells, including reservoirs situated in complex spaces that are difficult to visualize or access.

Due to this, it becomes unfeasible for many drilling companies, while SLB’s Well Constructions, now equipped with a high-tech system, can find such wells in advance and drill them as well, gaining a significant advantage over other competitors.

Furthermore, it is also expected to reduce data acquisition time.

This process is essential for the company to understand if it is worthwhile to drill in a certain location and, if so, which strategies to employ.

With the processes developed by Gyrodata, which has been executing the procedure for years, data acquisition will be carried out more quickly, sending the field team precise coordinates for the moment of action.

This also directly influences the improvement of decision-making. With the speed of data acquisition, it takes less time to realize when the drilling of a well will not yield the expected return, allowing for a swift shift to other opportunities that may be better for the client.

Speaking about the acquisition, Jesus Lamas, president of SLB’s Well Constructions, expressed great excitement about the future of the partnership: “I am thrilled with this historic moment that will bring innovative solutions to the SLB Well Construction division and our industry. The acquisition of Gyrodata, driven by technology, aligns with SLB’s strategy to enhance operational performance and improve the efficiency of our clients.”

For SLB’s Well Constructions, Gyrodata Incorporated’s technology brings a significant positive edge compared to competitors. Quality in well drilling and risk reduction will further enhance the company’s value in the segment.
