Solfácil Reaches R$ 5 Billion in Financing and Strengthens the Solar Energy Market in Brazil, Accelerating Distributed Generation Projects and Expanding Access to Sustainable Solutions for Homes and Businesses

Solfácil, one of the largest ecosystems of solutions for solar energy in Latin America, has achieved a historic milestone: R$ 5 billion in financing granted for distributed generation projects across the country.

The announcement, made officially this Thursday (25), represents a significant advance in the democratization of solar energy and consolidates the company as a leader in the residential sector.

More than 200,000 customers have already been served, including residential consumers and system integrators. The systems financed by the company represent about 1% of all energy generated in the country at noon, peak solar production time.

Accessible Financing and Innovative Model of Solfácil

The success of Solfácil is directly linked to its innovative financial model. The company offers terms of up to 120 months, with competitive interest rates and fixed installments, which ensures predictability for consumers and, according to the company, delinquency rates below the market average.

This approach has been essential to popularize solar energy among families and small businesses. By facilitating access to credit, Solfácil removes barriers that previously hindered the adoption of distributed generation, especially in regions with lower purchasing power.

According to Guillaume Tiret, CFO and co-founder of the company, the financed projects equate to the capacity of a “mega solar farm” of 1 gigawatt spread across residential rooftops. “It’s like turning on two turbines from Belo Monte. It’s very large,” said the executive.

Distributed Generation Driven by Solar Energy

Distributed generation has consolidated itself as one of the pillars of the energy transition in Brazil. With regulatory incentives, declining technological costs, and greater environmental awareness, millions of Brazilians are adopting photovoltaic systems to reduce their electricity bills and contribute to sustainability.

Solfácil is a protagonist in this movement, acting as a link between manufacturers, integrators, and consumers. The company not only finances but also distributes equipment, develops remote monitoring systems, and offers insurance for solar system protection.

Strategic Expansion and Partnerships that Strengthen Solfácil

Solfácil maintains a network of over 20,000 partner integrators spread across the country, which expands its reach and strengthens its market presence. Recently, the company obtained authorization from the Central Bank to operate as a financial institution, which should increase its credit granting capacity.

Moreover, partnerships with industry giants such as Huawei, Longi, and Sofar reinforce the portfolio of available equipment for integrators. The company also invests in loyalty programs, such as Solfácil Mais, which offers points for equipment purchases and facilitated access to financing.

Robust Investments and Market Confidence

Since its founding in 2018, Solfácil has already received over R$ 800 million in investments from renowned funds such as QED Investors, SoftBank, Valor Capital Group, and the World Bank (IFC). These investments reflect the market’s confidence in the company’s ability to lead the energy revolution in Brazil.

The R$ 5 billion mark in financing is a direct result of this confidence, combined with a solid strategy for growth and innovation. The company positions itself as a reference in complete solar energy solutions, focusing on distributed generation.

Financed Solar Energy and Its Environmental and Social Impacts

The expansion of solar energy financed by Solfácil has positive effects that go beyond savings on electricity bills. By replacing fossil sources with clean energy, the installed systems contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, helping Brazil meet international climate goals.

In addition, distributed generation promotes energy autonomy, reducing dependence on the conventional electrical grid and strengthening communities in remote areas. Solfácil’s model also generates jobs, stimulates the production chain, and encourages local entrepreneurship.

Financing as a Driver of Energy Transformation

The R$ 5 billion mark in financing represents more than just a significant number. It symbolizes Solfácil’s ability to transform access to solar energy into a reality for thousands of Brazilians. With an accessible and scalable model, the company enables projects that were previously unviable for a large part of the population.

This impact is amplified by Solfácil’s integrated approach, which combines credit, technology, logistics, and technical support. The company not only finances but also educates and empowers the market, creating a sustainable and resilient ecosystem.

Challenges and Perspectives for Distributed Generation

Despite the advances, the sector still faces challenges such as regulatory bureaucracy, exchange rate fluctuations, and the need for technical training. Solfácil has been working to mitigate these obstacles by offering support to integrators and investing in technology to simplify processes.

The future of distributed generation is promising, especially with the emergence of new technologies such as energy storage and integration with electric vehicles. Solfácil intends to expand its activities in these segments while maintaining a focus on innovation and sustainability.

Solfácil and Its Protagonism in the Brazilian Solar Revolution

The R$ 5 billion in financing achieved by Solfácil represents a turning point for the solar energy sector in Brazil. With an accessible financial model, strategic partnerships, and a focus on distributed generation, the company consolidates itself as a leader in national energy transformation.

The solar energy financed by Solfácil already lights up hundreds of thousands of rooftops, promoting savings, sustainability, and autonomy. The impact is real, measurable, and growing. For consumers, integrators, and investors, Solfácil is synonymous with trust, innovation, and the future.
