The Contract Will Start From June 2019 to June 2034 for the NS Interlagos Unit, According to the Petrobras Transparency Portal
One of our followers and collaborators on social media made a post about the Petrobras contract for the chartering of the NS Interlagos drillship from Odebrecht Óleo e Gás S/A, and you might be asking: “But didn’t Odebrecht change its name to Ocyan?” Please note, friends, all companies can have their names registered as “Corporate Name” or “Trade Name”. One basically represents how a company is registered with regulatory and tax authorities, while the other represents the brand, identity, a “kind of nickname”. I will leave a link to an interesting article on this subject here.
Before you say that the news is false and has no basis, watch the video below:

Billions of barrels on the equatorial margin could lead Amapá to double its oil production in Brazil — the state aims to enter the route of companies in the Campos Basin, attract investments, and boost jobs and businesses in the oil and gas sector.

Nothing better than consulting directly at the source, right? In this post by our colleague in the profession, many were accusing him of posting fake news and even offending him, but simply NO ONE HAD THE COURAGE OR WILL to research on the Petrobras Transparency Portal, just as we did in the video above.
If this information is outdated, it’s hard to know, but Petrobras has strict controls and mechanisms over its negotiations, and many of them are open to public inquiry. So far, Petrobras still holds this contract for the NS Interlagos Drill Ship from Odebrecht in force. It is worth noting that Odebrecht has already resolved many of its debts with the judiciary and can participate in bids smoothly.

Few know, but Odebrecht is more than just a name; it represents various business sectors in Brazil and around the world, which led the company to be divided into several subsidiaries, each independent from the others and with distinct operations in the market.
